This is how you tee up your ball. You can tee up your ball, with varying height depending on the club you choose. When using the driver, use a long tee, and tee it up with half the golf ball above the top seam of the club. Hybrids and Fairway woods will be a bit lower and irons even lower. Loft of the club face determines how high or low to tee up the ball.
I hate the plastic tees because they are too bendy. I prefer wooden tees. I use the 23/4″ length tees with my driver and 21/4 tees with everything else.
Playing by the rules of golf, you’ll only use a tee on the tee box. If you’re newer or don’t care about playing by the rules, tee it up everywhere.
