  1. Outside of the cursing, Fred was completely professional, in control, and on point.

  2. I also agree with the comment below re getting turned off. I have been a huge NBA fan since high school in the early 70's. The most irritating thing for the longest time to me has been the very inconsistent reffing throughout. What is a foul and what is not and if you wipe out a player mid air on a layup why is that not a foul? I could go on and on and the common point is reffing to a point that I turn games off mid way it sickens me to no end.
I watch the NHL and they have really gone after improving the reffing the past few seasons where they are hardly noticed so why is that?

  3. I feel like no one is talking about what Fred really meant. He said clearly that the calls by these refs are coming at a point when the game is so close. These type of calls shift the momentum. We have all seen it, some of these calls are very questionable. I feel like what Fred did was the only way left to bring attention to this matter.

  4. protect the refs no matter what is just bs. if the league is not taking the refs with issues to task someone has to.

  5. ESPN already knows the game and refs rigged. They acting like they don’t know what’s going on is hilarious. This been going on forever. They won’t get fired because I figured they are probably free masons. And they run America society

  6. Windhorst is more focused on a couple of swear words and on pushing the NBA's narrative that Fred's comments were a "profanity-laced tirade". Fred spoke the truth. How about you discuss these refs that act as if they are what fans come to watch and call techs when they get their feelings hurt. Talk about that.

  7. point system for refs; must maintain certain points in order to ref nba games or gets relegated. example: bad calls, no calls, bad Ts deducts points

  8. The NBA is fixed – the Raps get screwed – the Cavs get screwed – the Knicks and Lakers do not

  9. How much effort, time and money are being spent on hiring and training the referees? How much are they being paid? Are they fulltime or part time? Do we have enough refs on the floor? How difficult would it be to have a sky ref overlooking the entire court?

  10. Adam is a players' commissioner. Refs are ruining the product with their corruption. And sorry YT people need to stop acting like refs are incorruptible creatures incapable of wrongdoing like cops killing unarmed black people

  11. Major League umpires and NBA refs need to be held accountable. They have vendettas against certain teams. Fred just saying what everyone is thinking. No integrity in sports unless officials are impartial.

  12. Fred has 8 techs all year and 5 of them are when Ben Taylor has been on the court 🤔 …. no kidding he is dropping F-bombs …who wouldn't and the league Clearly thinks he has a point also with the low fine

  13. These guys focused on the curse words and missing the point. We all curse so what, the point Fred was trying to make is the refs suck and need to be held more accountable

  14. The NBA needs to adopt some of the spirit of MLB and NHL where you’re actually allowed to blow a gasket for a certain period of time and then only once that is exceeded does it become a penalty. You can’t give players a tech for reacting to a call. Theatrics and excessive gesturing should be the bare minimum requirement for a tech.

  15. Refs are as soft as Windhorst's belly these days.
"I don't care about cussing" -> proceeds to cry about cussing for a solid minute
No one cares how corruption was tolerated in the past, time to change the narrative and hold refs to a higher standard or replace them with unbiased systems.

  16. These three aren't discussing the bigger point. The refs officiating lately has been inconsistent and horrible.

  17. It's time to restore the balance of power. Refs have waaaaay too much power. Now it's starting to affect the game and the players. The fans come to see the players, not officiating. No one care about the ref or what the refs think. They have one job…make the proper calls and review if necessary. Ben Taylor needed to be called out. Sometimes refs need to be called out. They dont have any accountability. And don't talk to me about a "2 min report" at the END of a game, when those calls could effectively cost a team the game. Players have the right to be passionate about the game. That is what we actually want as fans. The NBA made the correct decision with the fine amount because they probably know it was a BS tech foul.
