“Are you shittin’ me!?” McNeil Can’t Believe Strike Call by HP Ump

New York Mets Jeff McNieil’s at-bat ended on a low strike three call and Jeff can’t believe it. You can audibly hear him say “Are you shittin’ me?!” to the umpire. After expressing his disgust he quietly went to the dugout.

  1. Does anyone have info to know if arm injuries to pitchers have increased since the pitch clock? They have to throw much quicker now. Is this putting too much stress on their arms?

  2. Full count, ball over middle of plate, touch low. In that position, I’m swinging. He didn’t pull the trigger

  3. They’ve been changing so many rules lately, they’re definitely going to have to change the strike zone calls soon

  4. That Mickey Mouse box on the TV is completely fake news. The "hallow beneath the kneecap", which establishes the lowest portion of the strike zone is constantly moving as the batter moves up and down during the pitch. That "strike zone" box on the broadcast is fixed. Clown world stuff.

  5. At this point, just grab a white plastic lawn chair like we used for whiffle ball – can’t argue with that 😂

  6. Look where the ball crosses the plate. It's right at the batter's knees. You cant go by the computer generated dot. This is a closer pitch than this video is stating.

  7. We can't have major league umpires missing ball/strike calls by that much. Borderline is one thing, but the umps are calling strikes that are six inches out of the zone. There's no accountability because of their union.

  8. It's like the umpires are TRYING to make themselves obsolete. Why make calls THAT bad when you know automation is looking over your shoulder, waiting to replace you?

  9. The time it takes for umpires to stop play, call the strike or ball depending on who violated the clock, some snickering and occasional arguing is only makes the game longer! I think they're stupid!

  10. I'm with everybody wants the robot umpire these umpires are pathetic that ball is at least a foot low

  11. MLB players got it good. I got rung up over the weekend in my men's league on 3 straight low pitches just like McNiel's.

  12. Dude argues all the time. This was a bad call, but perhaps arguing every single time something doesn't go right rubs umps the wrong way.
