  1. My bold prediction of the year, we won't really see 12 personnel expand that much. Bills will mostly save it for the red zone or if they are backed up against their own end zone.

But I'm not sure where the fear comes that the Bills can't use 12 comes from. Sure the team didn't use a lot of 12 last year, but they made heavy use, at least by NFL standards, of the extra eligible lineman.

My lock of the week is that Kincaid will have equal more more targets than Shakir.

  2. Someone needs to remind Nate how much Allen loves throwing the ball into triple coverage over the middle

  3. Nate makes a fair point. If we're rationalizing Kincaid's deficiencies as a blocker by saying, 'well, think of him more as a WR', then we need to hold him to the standards of a WR. That to me means we should expect a level of production his rookie season more in line with that of a rookie WR. If that's the case, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect production in the realm of 50-60 catches for 600-700 yards and around 7 TDs. That's certainly a lot to expect out of a rookie TE, but again, if we're thinking of him as more of a WR, and ideally our #2 option right off the bat, I don't think that's raising the bar too high, especially given all the hype around him. His ability as a blocker, while not a positive compared to most TEs, would certainly be a plus compared to most WRs. His run blocking (or blocking on screens) would be icing on the cake versus what you'd expect out of him early on as a traditional TE, and something you'd reasonably expect him to improve upon over the course of his career.
