2022 TF – CIF-ss MASTERS – 110 Hurdles (Boys)

This is the Boys 110 Meter Hurdles from the 2022 CIF-ss (Southern Section) Masters Track & Field meet, held at Moorpark High School (CA) on May 21, 2022. The Masters meet brings together the top athletes across all four CIF-ss divisions to determine qualifiers for the CIF State meet.

Upland owned the 110 last year and King Blanks ruled that land. He ended the year by winning at State by a wide margin. According to Rich Gonzalez, the wind-legal 13.69 that Blanks clocked at State Prelims ranks as the 25th-fastest in state history. He transferred within the same city to Montverde Academy for his senior year. He has a wind-aided 13.91 so far this year.

Masters was Lyght’s highlight reel in the 110. Took 5th at State. He has not been particularly active in track in 2023.

As for Blanks’ teammate Lyric, Masters was his wind-legal PR until State Prelims where he posted a 14.05. Upland went 1-2 at State with Lyric nailing the runner-up honors. He looks determined to take the top podium spot this year. Lyric easily won the Arcadia Invite in 13.85 a few weeks ago.
