Griffin got way overscored. Probably won but nowhere near that big a gap

John John’s mental strategy in heats needs to improve because he has the best surfing skills in the world but if you can’t manage a heat and has poor wave choices etc. then you won’t win.

Griff won, but his 8.5 was massively overscored (I was thinking 6.5 to a 7 seemed reasonable). jaw hit the floor when it came in 8.5 and then his second wave being a better one had nowehere but up to go. griff's surfing was ok, but it certainly wasn't excellent heat quality

Griff got that heat for sure! But 17. in total ? I don’t knowwww. But you just gotta be on the best waves to get the good scores and griff had the way better waves to surf on.

Watching this years tours, most of John, John loses came down to a lack of wave opportuinities!!! Just unfortunate thus far!!! It happens to everyone! Pray for surf!!!
