I would of loved Boutte a year ago . The problem is he’s had multiple ankle surgeries and just isn’t the same player . Can he ever get back to the player he was before the surgeries, who knows ? I hope so
I'd rather draft lineman just like they did instead of drafting a bunch of skill guys. We know for sure that interior lineman drafted late can develop and be really good
I think the Patriots offense is more talented than it's getting credit for. Everybody has to forget about last year. TB12 had a lot worse many years

Lets be brutally honest … NFL teams get about 2/3 starters out of the draft every year and are lucky if they also get a couple of decent back ups… Gonzalez and White will more than likely be starters and Mapu will be a special teams guy….the Jets and Dolphins didnt add any starters and the Bills added a TE and a guard as starters …so i do think we got better but only on defense…they are banking a lot on BoB making the offense a lot better
Tom and Phil's podcasts are the best places to follow everything NE Patriots related! Their style matches each other and their openness, passion, deep knowledge, and authenticity make it worth the time. They also know how the Patriots work under Bill Belichick! Excellent coverage of the draft.
I give this year's NEP draft a B as they should have traded up some of the 4th and 5th rounds picks to draft a highly-rated reliable WR!. I think it is better to have 4-5 solid drafts rather than 12 average ones with a low chance of success.
Best segment in the podcast was when the boys were discussing booty semantics 😂
The kicker and punter the 1st and 2nd best were a big nig need

There weren't too many trades
BoB is the biggest upgrade and we find out about Mac and Thornton
And Mac is the key,

Taking Mapu in the 3rd instead of Darnell Washington reeks of Bill just taking over the draft room. It’s a selfish reach pick that is going to prove in the long run to be a major mistake. There is no way you can’t convince me Mapu wasn’t going to be there in the 4th and it’s such a redundant pick. How many box safeties does one team need??
It's hysterical that Tom Curran who can barely speak intelligible English would challenge the pronunciation of Boutte.
It is doom and gloom ! Jets , Fns and Bills got better . Patriots at best are treading water . Apart from 1st round their draft was bizarre. BOB is not going to make a massive difference with the same standard of players .

Last years Offense was a top 10, with the same players, under a solid OC with McDaniels. Now pair an improved O roster, with an explosive style and a tea kettle temper OC with an experienced QB, it smells like success to me. Also, I think Conor McDermott played well on the right side last year, tell me if I’m wrong here but I think he could be our starter moving forward and we won’t have many issues.
Phil Perry is very knowledgeable, when he speaks I listen. Curran tries to cover his lack of knowledge with bad jokes and profanity.
BB not done yet , Alot of Whealing dealing still left ! Some players on last year contact might get traded!
Patriots will win AFC or atleast finish 2nd . Not worring about Jets or Injury 🤕 Tua !
Y'all bums dont know what yall talking about or what the team needs. Same things said about last year draft. Look how they all turned out in 1 year. They know what they need. Both of you are not in the building for a reason and i know y'all tried. They got all their players. The kicker and the punter was massive needs. The only receivers that had potential to be better than the ones on the roster were gone in the first round.
They loaded up. There's gonna be a ton of competition to make the roster. Best case scenario! Watch them start 4-0 and flip the narrative.

Cant say if the players will or wont be good. All i know is it just wpuld have been nice to see more offensive guys drafted earlier. But what do i know, im just a fan. 😅 I'll hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Think about how many points they will need vs. the Jets defense to beat them now with Rodgers. They need to score over 24 imo.
Nothing against Christian Gonzalez. But, when you have a chance to draft a potential LT prospect like Broderick Thomas at 14, you take it. Not trade it to another team.

Gonzalez reminds me of Mike Haynes. Easy speed, recovers very well. Calm.
I think they decided the defense wasn’t good enough and focused on that. They had a good statistical season last year but performed poorly against good quarterbacks. Honestly, the receivers they got in 6 and 7 were on par talent wise with anyone available in the 4th.
