In this video, personal trainer, Mr America & Natural Mr Universe John Heart reveals what bodybuilders really mean and believe when they say “I’m just on HRT”
These bodybuilders appear to be massive in retirement. Is that due to their amazing genetics? Most old school bodybuilding guys simply got off the steroids, PED’s and faced the dreaded hormonal crash. Today, gym myth has enhanced bodybuilders believing they’ve permanently disabled their ability to produce testosterone. Is that true?
Muscle legends during the Golden Era of Bodybuilding did not have such easy access to HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) or TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy). John describes how the hardcore pursuit of muscle growth can result in a lifetime of dependence on hormone therapy.
Is this necessary after years of trying to muscle up using gear?
Can a former muscle man live as a Natural Bodybuilder with a great physique?

Always consult with your physician before undertaking any form of exercise/diet regime.

  1. If you are Depressed and feeling hopeless, your test level will drop anyway whether there is some physiological
    cause or not.
Most top physique guys are more sensitive about their bodies than 14 year old girls, that's why they
will use any justification to stay on the sauce .

  2. Seems like a steep price to pay for "looking good" for a while, because we all seem to want to return to what is normal. Good message, I hope viewers take it to heart.

  3. I'm 46, I've never been on any type of testosterone replacement therapy. My current levels are at 398 and I'm still building muscle. I look better than 95% of people at most gyms. TRT is not needed. Train hard and stay hungry and obsessed!

  4. The worst ones are the liars who say they're not on gear while selling their useless garbage. Mike Otren has done this for years, remember the Frog he was selling? Lol

  5. Here's a side of trt to think about guys.
Start it to look better feel better and it will work but when people know your doing testosterone and then all of a sudden you look great they don't take you serious they say it's drugs. Being told you look good and wow check you out at 45 when you know it's from hard work and diet. Not only you feel better you are better. My friend looks like a chip n Dale dancer from testosterone but my wife and his wife don't take him serious when he talks about fitness and offers advice….not where you want to be sitting.

  6. This is the other side of your last video, that was the quitters and this the cheaters, the people who want to have it the easier way. I never touched steroids and now at 57 I'm not only keeping my muscle but growing it, so why bother with the side effects. Just work hard, sleep harder and eat better, friends!

  7. Usual lies you heard in the gym: I change what I am eating, I am only on creatine, I eat more proteins foods, I got more proteins from shake. Finally, I am on steroids and testosterone.😂

  8. testosterone is not the most important factor when it comes to muscle growth, boosting testosterone from the lower end of ''normal'' to the higher end will do very little for muscle growth, boosting it beyond the physiological levels will explode muscle growth however, testosterone doesn't drop much with age, what does drop off a cliff once you exit your 20s is growth hormone levels which does slow recovery from training and especially injuries, there's many many genes involved in the muscle building process, there's at least 10 major genes involved in the hypertrophy process, look at people who produce low Myostatin or those with elite sprinting or jumping ability they build muscle so easily and then there's genes for carrying low body fat and on and on……

  9. I watched two friends on a yt vid a few years ago, one was considering taking sarms and posting his journey the other was a molecular biologist, who incidentally strongly advised against there use. In the course of the conversation the biologist mentioned he had done a mml calculation of what 250mg of test does to serum concentrations, it was 50 million times above the average man.

  10. Testosterone is fascinating how can there can be so much variance in people's and how they can look and feel so much different. When I was in my late forties and still competing naturally like I have my whole life my testosterone was in the low 400s. Now that I'm 52 and haven't competed or dieted in 3 years it's in the 600's, although I certainly don't feel as strong or durable as I did in my forties!

  11. Unfortunately, I am reading about too many kids, "under 30" , getting TRT/HRT due to steroid abuse. It's alarming. 60 and still natty, I do get my test results each Dec. 479 on last test. No problems, still working out , feeling good. Business as usual

  12. brilliant channel, i wish i had found you earlier. advice built on years of experience can't be beaten and this channel should have way more subscribers.

  13. What people are not understanding is that a lifetime of abuse either alcohol or drugs utterly destroys the bodies ability to produce hormones, i.e. don't judge another man until you have walked in his shoes,. I am on 100 MG of Test taken weekly Injection since I have started it for over 5 months now, I feel so much better, the Depression has gone the energy has started to increase and my sex drive is off the chart, and that is on real TRT, it is been a God send to me and for other men as well, I am not competing in any sport so I am not cheating, I train 6 days a week and have built myself up to where I was in my 30's I have one of the best Physiques in the gym I go too, but I am very truthful person and if anyone asks I tell them, I am now 50 but I feel like I am in my 30's again to me it has been a God send, don't judge another man until you have been in his shoes, I would advice anyone if they feel off and depressed and unenergetic and have no sex drive, to go to the doctor and get on TRT if you can not go that way then do it yourself, I live in a country where it is legal to have them for personal use so I am lucky that way…

  14. Bodybuilders, in general, just have a very little respect for truth ans reality. It is almost funny how they claim TRT doesnt do nothing and yet they spend so much money to make use of it ..

  15. im 64yrs training since ‘84🏋🏽I get depressed because my present 5rm is less than my light warmups from 30yrs ago.
I considered TRT but had heartfailure 5yrs ago due to peds so TRT is not an option.
    Drx suggest’s SSRI…No thanks!

  16. I’m off subject and you may have covered this before. I’ve been doing high volume lately and before that I’ve done basically bro splits. I’m curious on HIT. Doing my research on it. I’ve noticed the rep range is normally 6-10or 12. Is there an issue with hitting 15 + reps?

  17. I am 53 and had a pituitary adenoma like a golf ball in my head. It blew last summer. I am being treated for that (many hormones)and currently still feel like shit. I mean zero energy, no sex, no workout, no running, lost pounds of muscle and 50% strenth, can hardly go throu my day. The process of adjusting is long . It is hard on the mental health too.
