BIG BUST UP! PRO HITS OUT AT LIV GOLF AFTER DISRESPECTING OTHER TOURS

TWO DP world tour golfers GO at it over twitter as one is sen to be disrespecting golf tours!
The LIV Golf event in Adelaide was a success, with tens of thousands of fans flocking to the course to watch the golf. At the tournament, one of the features came in the form of a Waste Management Phoenix Open Stadium like-hole, whereby seating ran around the whole perimeter of the par 3 12th & this is what all the controversy was all about!

Golfers feel that LIv golf have copied the Waste management 16th hole with the stadium like golf hole!

Fans saw a huge spectacle, Chase Koepka making a hole-in-one at the Watering Hole, but a video of the American doing the ace ignited a slight argument between some on the LIV Golf circuit and some on the DP World Tour.

The twitter agreements seems t be spitting opinions between the DP world TOUR, LIV golf tour & PGA tour! We have seen this style of argument before between golfers such as Greg Norman,Phil Mickelson & Patrick Reid but now we have more fuel on the LIV golf PGA tout battle!

these are TWO english players and Both at one pint played on the DP world tour!

This is breaking golf news and breaking sports news.

  1. I would love to see Monty play a LIV event. H could be distracted by a mosquito farting !

  2. LIV golf is awesome! Great field every week and I’ve enjoyed the team element way more than I thought I would! Wish they played more events! The crowd in Adelaide was absolutely AWESOME!

  3. The PGA has been open to replicating other Par 3's set up like the 16th at WM. The PGA is not really on board with the 16th but the Thunderbirds drove that to what it is today…it's a money maker. It has been floated that that model can be reproduced at smaller PGA events to help elevate them.

  4. I still haven’t seen a LIV event, but I won’t avoid watching a LIV event if it’s convenient to my schedule. By and large, I’m ambivalent about it. I don’t care about the issue. These are professional athletes and they can choose to play wherever they feel the purse suits there bank account. However, if they choose to play LIV, they are no longer members of the PGA. They are something else; pure and simple. They no longer have the right to play PGA events. Open tournaments are a different story. But, they have to qualify just like everyone Elsie. Ryder Cup? I think it’s up to the Captain and his goal is to win with the best players. He is in an unenviable position since if he loses with LIV golfers, he screwed up. If he loose without the LIV golfers, he screwed up. So the focus and the burden is on the Captain to make the right decision, not the golfers to play exceptionally well. The media will crucify him. Ouch. Good luck Zach. The bottom line is the LIV golfers need to meet the criteria to play non-LIV events. Past records don’t cut it. Nobody cares. Meet the established criteria or shut up. You are not a member of the club anymore. Deal with it all the way to the bank.

  5. As another Adelaide person, I loved the LIV event. Stood 3 meters away from Patrick Reed watching him practice, DJ, Bryson and Phil were IN PERSON, not on a television screen we have to watch as usual. If it wasnt't for LIV, this would not have happened. We now have it again for the next 3 years, fantastic.

  6. Didn't realize they had a tournament this weekend until watching this. Since this happened at Scottsdale, they have done away with can's and bottles, you now get a souvenir cup with the 16th hole logo .

  7. The real issue is LIV staged a world class event in a golf mad country that was starved of seeing the best players. People came from far and wide to watch and threw a few adult beverages around. The PGA is for the US tour and LIV is for everyone else. Are either perfect? No but golf wins 100%.

  8. its not about LIV or PGA tour they are two different beasts living in australia never get the chance to see great players up close and personnal it was sooooo good i've been watching and going to golf tournaments for a very long time and most PGA players think they are a protected species not LIV players they were responding to the crowd and looked like they were having fun and playing some great golf the world keeps moving forward LIV is doing this where the rest would have u wearing long socks with short pants

  9. It's definitely blown out of proportion. (LIV vs PGA) The sixteenth at Phoenix has organically grown throughout its history. I loved the 12 at Adelaide. It was a good decision and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I think cooler heads are starting to prevail about the two leagues. I, for one, will enjoy both leagues represented at the Ryder Cup. The Masters proved that no one really cared who was in what league. And even a few years ago, when the PGA tour started that stupid PIP program I considered only watching tournaments with the sound off. We had one sport left where differences were normally handled quietly, kinda. But for the powers that be (PGA tour executives)to assume straight out cat fighting in the media would help grow the game, WTH were they drinking? Anyway, that's my two cents.

  10. I think LIV is creating a really good product. The 4 Majors will always be on top but I think LIV is creating an interesting product which over the past year has got me to watch more golf outside of the majors than I have for 10+ years. I would love to go to a LIV event although personally I would give the watering hole a miss. Both the watering hole and the 16th at Scottsdale are not something I would want to personally partake in but I have no issue with others enjoying them. And being from Australia I am probably biased but I think it is fantastic that LIV is trying to bring quality fields to places that have been starved of it with the monopoly the PGA Tour has had for 20+ years. I don’t understand why the DP World Tour has not welcomed LIV players to their events as they were heading in the wrong direction well before LIV came around.

  11. The guy hit a hole in one on the hole that was basically designed for that thing to happen. OF COURSE everyone wants to see that reaction. The guy just nailed the holy grail of golf. What every amateur aspires to get. That being a hole in one. That was awesome. PGA is just jealous plain and simple.

  12. Don’t care the LIV has lost their law suits which was due to being run and owned by a king. Losers all of.them.

  13. to me pepperrall tries to come across as an intellect, because he likes words. no big deal, many people like words.

but he shows no class in dissing blandy like that with the win thing. comes across as a tosser. like wallace telling the uber driver he's the x ranked golfer in the world unsolicited.

it seems young people nowadays have no respect for elders who have done them no harm

  14. I like the stadium hole at WM (can’t talk to LIV since I haven’t and won’t watch it). It’s different and fun – once a season. It wouldn’t be that if it was a regular thing.

  15. Thunderbirds really run the WM Scottsdale event and it was their idea. The Watering Hole at Adelaide was even better with an alley style stadium. PGA players are jealous they have to work many more weeks for less money. Mickelson, Koepka and Reed beat EVERY PGA TOUR PLAYER at The Masters except for Rahm. Put that in your pipe and smoke it PGA TOUR!!

  16. It's pretty clear that LIV has already changed golf forever. The precious PGA has been knee jerking and tweaking their own events since LIV took off. What does that tell us? Who is Eddie pepperhead anyway? I missed his 15 minutes (guessing his career was in the States where the rest of the world only gets to witness PGA events on cable tv unlike LIV who are taking their product to the world). Did we enjoy the 12th at Grange? Me personally, no. I was two fairways away when Chase made his ace, gladly. I draw the line at heckling and beer throwing but it would seem many don't and what's wrong with that? I don't know how these guys manage to perform at their best in that racket but…. 20,000 fans would disagree. Looking forward to next year already but you won't find me on 12 🙂

  17. Any time you can get the fans close to the action it should create a fantastic atmosphere for both the players and fans. The Twitter spat is giving me flashbacks to Junior High School… 😵‍💫

  18. There is some background to Bland's dig at Eddie that goes back a few months. Eddie has been quite vocal on Twitter criticizing LIV and has had a few Twitter spats with a number of LIV players. Which is fine I guess but for a player like Eddie who is ranked 250th odd in the world, is not a PGA Tour member and hadn't played there since 2019, attacking your fellow Euro Tour players because they went to LIV sounds a bit like sour grapes as he now realised he is stuck to playing the DPWT where unless he finishes top 20 every week he won't be making much money and won't move down on the OWGR. I don't blame him though, the DPWT sadly is the victim in the whole LIV debacle mostly due to the PGA Tours stance and how they get controlled by what the PGA Tour does.

Bland saw yet another tweet from Eddie talking down LIV after they had their most successful event, and decided to take a dig at him. Not very classy but there is some history behind it

  19. I watched the 2nd and the last round and the fans were unbelievable! It looked like a good time was had by all, both fans and the golfers which is a great thing. The 12th was quite similar to the WM 16th and, as long as the rowdy atmosphere is OK with the players, then let the good times roll! The LIV is truly an international tour whereas the PGAT is decidedly insular, staying mostly in the US. Can you imagine if the LIV held 3 or 4 tournaments in Australia, maybe 1 in New Zealand, several in South Africa, and a few in the Orient as well as the US and Euro events? It would be a world wide phenomenon, IMO, and might push the PGAT into a second place in fan interest. Just my $0.02.

  20. I could probably get on board with music playing, however their choice of music is awful IMO. To each his own. What they are doing is working. There were a lot of great shots and long putts this weekend. The course looked great. I'm ok with the Watering hole to some extent. I wouldn't have thrown a $10 beer personally. That was over the top, but it made for good TV and Australia obviously has a thirst for Pro Golf (no pun intended). It must be great for Cam Smith to play on his own soil with such fanfare. There was another hole where bottles and cups were thrown on the green. That is a bit much. Fans had a blast though and there was a lot of excitement. Can't argue that.

With the international angle like this, you could have elevated events like this in places where PGA doesn't travel…something kinda on part with the Players championship, but louder. I would like to see the two tours work together. Condense the schedules, or offer alternative tournaments players from each tour could chose to play in if they don't want to play in the John Deere that week. Those who can/want to travel internationally, can chose to. Others can stick to PGA, DP or whatever.

  21. Love the stadium holes and hope to see them more frequently. It brings some added excitement to the game. Chase’s hole in one was amazing and the celebration that followed was epic. Loved every minute of it.

  22. Stadium holes are good for the game, puts a lot of energy into play!!! As far as LIV goes more power to them, not crazy about where the money comes from but it has brought a new wave to the pre existing tours. And from what I’ve been ready sounds like golf you tubers are going after some interesting mini tournaments.

  23. I could do without the drinks being thrown as I did see some cans not just plastic cups.
I like the shotgun start .. the day isn't as long for TV or spectators and all players are on the course in the same weather
Option to wear shorts is a great thing and a cool response to what the players wanted. If you think about the apparel manufacturers, they make shorts as well as trousers and most golfers play summer golf in shorts, so that should be good for sponsors.
PGA will never pull its head out of its arse and if you think about the population of the US is approx the same as Europe, you can understand why they have felt no need to expand the game beyond the US. The PGA response to LIV, is to make it more a closed shop rewarding those at the top … look at Tiger getting the biggest PIP last year after hardly hitting a ball in anger.
Australia is starved for golf tournaments and hasn't seen the high profile players since Norman was in his prime. Kind of ironic that we get to see some of the top guys thru LIV/Norman after decades of nothing.

  24. Liv golf is a disgusting disgrace to the game but beyond that everyone has missed the point. This mess called Liv exhibition golf, and those who decided to patronize it, have lost sight of the morals and ethics involved$$$$$! This is about something so much larger than golf will ever be! Also, the Liv player$ should not be invited to play in any other professional golf events. They've made their bed let them sink into oblivion in this unsustainable quagmire with the illustrious tRump as their model

  25. So LIV has reduced professional golf to top golf. LIV golf is a golf themed party organized by marketing professionals. What does LIV golf actually mean? 12 meaningless events with a lot of drunks.

  26. 2.4 million viewers on TV alone in Aus . They broadcast in 170 countries . This is a run away train now . The DPWT have blown it unfortunately. EP can go down with the ship .

  27. I agree with you about the media's tendency to sensationalize and create hype for profit, just like in politics. As a golf lover, I prefer to focus on the beauty of the sport and the skills of the players, rather than getting caught up in the media's fire. I'm looking forward to attending upcoming golf events in both leauges and enjoying the game without getting swayed by the media's drama.

  28. Richard Bland played with covid in adelaide. A friend of mine was a volunteer. Drove him too and from the course each day and ended up contracting covid from him. Very inconsiderate

  29. I don't mind the stadium atmosphere for 1 hole per round like WM do, but the rest of the round needs to be played in the usual manner.
The stadium hole should be intimidating and raucous, but all the beer n cup throwing is disrespectful.
I'm imagine all the idiots going wild are the same people/generation who go crazy when they flip a water bottle and it lands upright.

  30. If your friend told you to tune in to golf because he’ll be the one screaming “mashed potatoes”, would you reconsider your friendship? Sincere excitement in sports is fine, look at me fake reactions, can’t wait to put this on Instagram people, are just sad and screams loser.

  31. The Liv field was the best the field to play in Australia in 20 years and thats why is was sold out in a few days. Singapore will be a big test for LIV this weekend.

Liv need to sign Matt Fitzpatrick then London Liv would be bigger.

  32. Away from the par 3 party hole the crowd was lining both sides of the fairway. Golf fans following Cam Smith and co there was fairway and people.

  33. Who cares as long as there is more golf th watch .
I love great atmosphere as long as its respectful.
Liv golf is here accept the fact , these different associations won't ever get one.
As for twitter don't do that shit or Facebook.

  34. LIV is going to be bigger than anyone ever dreamed I started up all three nights till two thirty in the morning and then rewatched it the next day absolutely luv this high flying roller coaster golf 😝
