Defy the odds? These are just "pretty good shots."
it seems "defy the odds" just means that the players have some sort of disabilities which feels like makes this really bad
Golf is a game for us mere mortals to somehow get the ball in the hole, these Golfers are doing the same. Maybe some have disabilities, well most non professionals do!

Defy odds!? Don't get it…. i get they have a handicap… no pun intended… but nothing special going on here…. We have a blind guy and a guy in a wheelchair that play at our golf club…. they have never beaten me (off the stick) yet… but if they do… that will defy the odds for sure…
this is one of many reasons golf is the best sport in the WORLD.ENOUGH SAID…
