hi guys I'm 18 minutes in and know you've got a top fella in again! i was at maine road for that match against liverpool im sure it was 4_1 or 4_0, liverpool were awesome that day!! proper genuine irish lad! keep them coming lads!👀👍💯
Phil Down was the worst ref in the history of the game 😊
Great vid guys. Interesting bit about Barnsley trying to keep Gerry. Many reds fans quick to accuse the club of always selling our best players to the first bidder, but there’s always a lot that we don’t know about.
Great Player Gerry. Always remembered as a cult hero, and he still has that glint in his eye 😀
Great memories of John Mcginley as well, from when we were neck and neck for promotion. Good times
You may have accidently discovered one of the great centre half partnerships that never happened.
Gerry Taggart and Wes Brown.
Absolute beast Gerry was for the whites, what a side we had in those days. Another ding dong do again boys, gotta be the best podcast channel out there now 👍
Gerry a very brave , fearless , honest and dedicated player , and a genuine nice guy. Another great guest interview Liam & John .
Great interview. I’m going to have try and find that bust up against Wolves. I do remember it. The crowd that night were unbelievable, every time wolves players got the ball they were booed.
Another Norn Iron Legend!
Very insightful. Where’s the golf?
I love these chats the stories people come out with are superb . well done Liam and John top class.
Top player. First met him 1990. A few memories not spot on but remembers more than me!
GED,, you legend
Always been said Bolton bid £500k, we wanted £2.5m. Tribunal set £1.5m. Steal.
No way Tranmere could afford ha.
Real down to earth bloke – looking forward to part 2
Fairclough story…epic
Brilliant! I'm a life long Bolton fan and the last season at Burnden was the best ever for me
The stories regarding Chris Fairclough had me in stitches. Can't wait for part 2. I also remember on several occasions being in Bolton on a Saturday night seeing John and Gerry pissed as farts.
Ooh Gerry Gerry. Loved a night round town. Top hard defender. If in doubt it went in row z.
The tackle iin the QPR game was on Steve Slade and remains as Gerry says, one of the best tackles you would hope to see. Absolute textbook.
Top man Gerry, all time hero at BWFC
Top class can't wait for part 2😂
Fantastic podcast
Ooh Gerry Gerry. Still got the T Shirt. £500 to the first bidder😂
Oooo Gerry Gerry!! Still got the baseball cap, one of my heroes from that time hard as nails but had a touch of class too, could never question his commitment and why would you they don't make em like that anymore 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Loved Gerry, Bolton wanderers legend
Absolutely fantastic fellas. Can't wait for the 2nd part
As a Man City fan since the mid 1950's this chat with Gerry brought back many fond memories of the second division to the rise of modern day greatness. Just BRILLIANT! Thank you Liam, John and of course Gerry.
Ian Bishop Carlisle Legend
I want a Bradford City top
Can I suggest Steve Bull as a guest… a great contrast and a really good personal story…the Tipton terrier
The Pompey player on loan from Spurs would have been Paul Moran I'm sure. He was quick, so Tags did well to get close enough 🤣
Thats why lilleshall rehab was so popular back in the day because clubs never had the physios to deal with many injuries
