  1. It sucks they are not going to austin country club anymore. They need to find a way to get back. Of course if I was a member there I would hate the tour coming there so I get it

  2. I like these shorter topical vids. Big fan of match play too. I wish it was used for the FedEx cup playoff final. It’s a lot more compelling than stroke play

  3. As a viewer I enjoy watching the match play. It's a nice break from the usual format… but I don't hold a match play victory in as high regards as I do the other tournaments even the ones where the competition isn't as strong. I was sort of blown away to find out last year that the Match play winner received 75 world ranking points for the win, which was brought down to 53 this year, which is still high in my opinion. There's a bit if not a lot of luck involved in match play tournaments. You can run into an opponent who plays out of their mind or you could simply play good or mediocre golf and run into opponents that play like crap and end up winning the tournament, whereas in the typical format, for the most part you need to play excellent golf in order to win. But match play is entertaining to watch and the randomness of it makes it entertaining as well.

  4. I agree with the one dude… single elimination is a preferable format… It's a bit of a random/lucky event anyways, so to have each bracket grind out 3 matches is a bit absurd… only to then go to single elimination in the remaining rounds. It's unnecessary and in most of the brackets a single loss prevents you from advancing anyways and then in some brackets you can lose and advance. It's completely unnecessary. Whoever came up with that format should be head kicked.
