The way to improve baseball is to lower the seam of the baseball a smidge and deaden the ball a *smidge*. There are far too many swing and misses resulting in home runs or strikeouts. The best part of baseball is gone. The game was better with more contact and less home runs, hit and runs, hitting behind the runner, bunting to sacrifice, etc. 18 strikeouts and 6 home runs a game is part of what makes baseball a borefest. They addressed the 45 seconds between pitches problem (a good thing finally), but the home run or strikeout metric is terrible.
