  1. I always used airsoft as a good training tool. Maxpedition Roly Poly was my first dump pouch as well. Training to reload and index in the pouch under some sort of duress is always helpful. Nothing takes the wind out of your tactical sails than being shot in the back by a 12 year old because you took your eyes off the field.

  2. Funny. I carry a Maxpedition dump pouch in my first line for heavy LARPing. I love that it goes from nice and snug to the Sarlacc Pit in a second.

  3. 4:36 I am definitely taking this out of context and tag all the SgtMaj and COs. “See! SOF guys use it for water bottles and snacks too!”

  4. Personally prefer sowing some velcro on the molle straps of the older school big ones and placing it on the front of the plate carrier. Gives you a big dump pouch and frees up a lot of belt space.

  5. Did you use dump pouch on ops? If you are trying to be a boy scout and leave no trace I can understand, or for training reasons. But in an actual fight shouldn't you just drop the mag? Also you lose some stealth with empty mags rattling around. After shooting you kind of gave yourself away, but when you maneuver to a new point you can be heard moving. I've always been a little confused on the need or use of a dump pouch other than for training. If you are using a drop pouch for training you are not training the way you would fight. I've seen a drop pouch used to pick up kindling to start a fire. You might want to look at the Condor Drop pouch. You guys give great training and advice!!! Great Video!!! Thanks!!!

  6. Thanks for posting. But, dive gear; when are we getting a dive gear video???

  7. I run the Blue Force Gear DP as well. It's been awesome & can surprisingly hold quite a bit.

  8. Something folks need to be mindful of, is that mags are ultimately a disposable item. Sometimes it seems like they're viewed as not. And i can kind of see how that ideology may come to be. After all, mags are needed for most semi auto firearms to function as designed. That's why you have a healthy supply of mags stashed for each platform.

  9. Just a thought but who cares what I think , but try a dump pouch that can go in the front lined with thin Keydex lining so you can dump your empty mags in it and reload at the same time. Thank You for the videos.

  10. I really appreciate how Dorr talks to his faithful viewers
Not trying to act hard or sell training for wannabe seals
Just lays out his thoughts and spreads knowledge to those who want to listen. Also cool to see the progression of gear from coach and him too

  11. Dang I thought a dump pouch was a bag seals crapped in while out on a mission when they don't want to leave no footprints. Lol

  12. As always excellent instruction, and professional presentation. It’s easy to see Dorr is speaking from personal experience and provides some of the best information.

  13. Sooooo disappointed to learn that Dorr is a plaid boxer guy – figured him for a sleek banana hammock Dude for sure. 😂

  14. I'm curious about the pouch you used as your gas mask pouch. I use the large Roly Polys from Maxpedition already. Not for mags but for foraging material to turn into char. Or tinder.

  15. I appreciate these guys as well. I'm a generation younger (Ranger, 6 years) it's interesting to see how much something like our issued dump pouches have changed. If you have a good idea, do your best to get to market, it could make you rich and help save lives. the cat tunicate is a good example.
    God bless America!

  16. Do you know what’s funny is standard issue G.I. magazine is lighter than P mag do you know believe me do the weight test load it and unload it

  17. I usually keep a 1/2 ton truck close by, hds more stuff and acts,as a barrier when someone is shooting at your house. I use to be so dumb I once, (that I can remember) hiding behind a screen door while some guy was dumping a 1911 mag at me. I won that fight and learned to stay cool

  18. In a real world tactical situation, are you actually concerned about dumping an empty mag into a pouch on a tactical reload?

  19. When we were in Iraq/Kuwait I used to secretly fill all my roommates pockets and pouches with goat turds while we were walking around. He used to get so mad when he reached in to get somethings and tiny little poops would fly everywhere. I love you Douglas.

  20. Crazy how every decade things change extensively in tech.. not so much in training other than training with the new tech.

  21. I just love those Maxpedition Medium Rolly Poly Dump pouches! The Mini Rolly Poly is also nice. It’s tough, small and you can stow anything quick & with a drain hole too!! 😁👍👍🇺🇸

  22. Hey, Dorr, this is John Rodriguez: Educate this POG Prior Service USMC and US Army Veteran, please and thank You. Are Magazine Dump Pouches , solely, a GWOT / IBAT ( Global War On Terror/ International Battle Against Terrorism) phenomenon, or, elsewhere in recent U. S. Military History, did American Troops In Contact use Dump Pouches?🇺🇲🦅🌎⚓🪖

  23. I have used a few different ones for airsoft larping (gas rifle so don’t want to throw £60 mags on the ground!) and have a Direct Action Gear one which allows you to mount it behind a M4 pouch so the fresh mag sits in the mouth of the bag – you can drop an empty mag in and as you withdraw your hand pull the fresh one out. Esstac Kywi short work well. Also fits a double pistol Kywi well too.
I added a couple of 550 loops to the mesh in the bottom and made my own leg strap (like Trex Arms one) and run it at the 4o’clock position so it is as hand but won’t slap around too much when running.
