Would be very weird to see Mats Sundin as part of Sens ownership.. not against it, but it would take some getting used to
Honestly The Rock is cool but I believe that Reynolds is a marketing genius who also has a more personal touch to ottawa and you know he wants to show everyone the beauty of ottawa that other people don’t know about. So I agree with Bobby i don’t really care, I just want the team to get sold but when it comes down to it, Reynolds would be more beneficial.
The Rock would be an awesome part of the new ownership group as well!

I don't care if a celebrity has ownership in the team or not. Reynolds being famous has next to nothing to do with why I want him to be part of the next ownership group. It all comes down to his incredible marketing ability and the production of a "Welcome to Wrexham" style documentary for the Sens.
To me, Dwayne Johnson doesn't bring those same skills to the table, so I don't see any value. A large social media following does not mean that he can have the same impact as Reynolds. In addition, he has no ties to the Ottawa area and has no hockey background. Reynolds, on the other hand, does have ties to Ottawa and as a Canadian has an actual passion for hockey.
Meanwhile "The Rock" showed up to a Leafs game earlier this season, gets given a microphone and starts cheering "Let's Go Leafs" instead of "Go Leafs Go". The guy couldn't even be bothered to look up the actual chant. He wants the team for the sake of his fame and to make money. Not because he actually gives a sh!t about hockey.
I hate the Leafs, but I have a lot of respect for Sundin and would be fine with him being involved with the Senators.

To Jason's point about utilization: Warren Young scored 40 goals playing with Mario Lemieux; Ron Francis only scored 30 goals while in Hartford (not as a second line center in Pittsburgh)

The Rock is on a downward trajectory. He peaked and he is also way too busy. He will be in Ottawa like 3 times a season vs Ryan who will be a regular and making a mini series getting involved with the team.

Does Ottawa want one of the best owners in sports or not? Then Ryan Reynolds is the only way to go. What he's done at Wrexham is nothing short of a miracle, and put the small Welsh City on the road to be a top 40 UK club for the next 100 years. He's a marketing genius, who always does the right thing along with smart marketing and business. If the Melnyk family want to honour the legacy of their father and keep the Senators in Ottawa forever, than Ryan's bid really is by far the best one.
