Every Splash Play by *FORMER* Viking Eric Kendricks | *edit: He’s a *CHARGER*

*GOOD LUCK IN LA, EK* He’s a Charger now. God bless. I think we’ll miss his hair the most. The Minnesota Vikings released veteran linebacker Eric Kendricks on Monday, March 6, 2023 as Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah began the bloodbath necessary to get under the salary cap (or tank for Caleb Williams???)

Kendricks, a star veteran linebacker, had led Minnesota in tackles in seven of the last eight seasons. Originally Minnesota’s second-round selection from the 2015 NFL draft, Kendricks, now 31, has been one of the most dependable inside linebackers in all of football.

“As a Pro Bowler and team captain, a Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee and a leader of the Vikings social justice efforts, Eric leaves a powerful, permanent legacy within our organization and the Minnesota community,” said Adofo-Mensa.

Kendricks started 113 of his 117 games in Minnesota. In his career, he has posted 919 tackles, 15 sacks and nine interceptions. He led the Vikings in tackles in 66 games, which set a franchise record. In 2019, he collected 110 tackles, 12 passes defended and four tackles for loss on his way to a first-team, all-pro and Pro Bowl selections. Last season he started all 17 games and finished with 137 tackles to lead the team. He has posted more than 100 tackles in seven consecutive seasons.

The Vikings will save $9.5 million on their salary cap with the move. Entering Monday, they were approximately $24.4 million over the salary cap, according to OverTheCap.com. The Vikings have until March 15 at 4 p.m. to get under the salary cap ($224.8 million).

I guess it’s Brian Asamoah SZN, Soldiers. Now we wait on Harry and Cook. Eek.

  1. The business is the business but this is a hard offseason. Losing iconic staples like EK and AT19 hits different. Guys that put it all on the line week after week for us fans.

  2. It’s sad he only had a legit qb for 1 maybe 2 seasons and it was keenum and bridgewater…. Such a waste of talent by Minnesota.

  3. Welcome to the chargers 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️🤘🤘🤘⚡️⚡️⚡️🏆🏆🏆

  4. Best Minnesota Vikings linebacker ever. What a treat it was to watch him, especially the early years. So close. Harrison Smith also. Pain

  5. Sad to see the Vikings cut all these goats after playing in a defense that didn’t allow them to play how they play best. Making them look shit

  6. How did the Vikings go from having tons of safety, LB and CB sacks to last year having 99% edge rusher sacks. Shit Eric almost got a behind the back interception with a flip🤪
