2023 | REPLAY | Asian Le Mans Series | 4 Hours of Abu Dhabi | Race 1

Created by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), the Asian Le Mans Series symbolises the Spirit of Le Mans, holding the same shared passion for creating world class endurance racing in Asia.

The Asian Le Mans Series is becoming the reference endurance racing series in Asia. Delivering highly competitive racing on world class racetracks, last season the Series was watched by a global audience of over 14 million. The Asian Le Mans Series is growing year on year and is attracting some of the world’s most successful endurance racing teams, as well as fostering new and emerging talent from the region.

Offering the region’s only direct pathway to the world’s most prestigious endurance race – the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Series is also the perfect training ground for those wanting to step up the ACO ladder.

After a hugely successful 2022 Asian Le Mans Series, the Series will return to the UAE for the 2023 season. It will be contested in an intense two-week period, with all four races being held between the 11th and the 19th of February. There will be two races, each four hours in length, at the Dubai Autodrome and at the Yas Marina Circuit, with a mix of both night and day racing.

Race 1 – Saturday 11th February 2023, Dubai Autodrome
Race 2 – Sunday 12th February 2023, Dubai Autodrome
Race 3 – Saturday 18th February 2023, Yas Marina Circuit
Race 4 – Sunday 19th February 2023, Yas Marina Circuit

  1. As much as I appreciate that these broadcasts are provided free of charge, this and the previous ALMS event have been very difficult to enjoy because of the audio issues in the commentary booth. There are popping issues on consonants that are VERY jarring and this weekend Graham's voice has been eq'd in a bizarre way to sound very "tinny". I am pretty sure they use Sennheiser headset mics, the same ones used by the Radio Le Mans team, who usually sound great without any of those issues – maybe someone could reach out to them for some tips? I hope the issues will be sorted eventually, because the racing and basically everything else about the coverage is fantastic. Thanks!

  2. I wonder if the announcers are not allowed to say Nikita Masepin's name? Any time he was in the car they only called the car number, never the driver, unlike all the other cars.

  3. Would like to see more/better coverage of the GT race. More interesting diversity of machinery in that class.

  4. 3:26:98: Who is driving the number 98? Four seconds later he mentions Ben Hanley is driving # 24. 3:27:12: Who is driving the #98 that "Ben Hanley is putting pressure on"? 3:27:33: Now they mention the NEXT driver by name who will get into #98. Who is driving #98 now???

  5. Just an added note. Mr. Gavin does a fine job of commentating, but I can't help but detect a little "duck out of water" from him. Maybe I would like to see him back out there too. It's not too late. Good job from all. What a crazy race. Thanks
