TPC Sawgrass will once again host THE PLAYERS Championship, with 43 of the top 50 golfers in the world teeing it up at the iconic event. After a brilliant run that has seen him claim three wins in six starts on the PGA TOUR this year, World No. 1 Jon Rahm will lead the field. Reigning FedExCup Champion and winner of THE PLAYERS in 2019 Rory McIlroy will be confident in challenging for glory after an impressive showing at last week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational saw him finish T2, just one shot behind eventual winner Kurt Kitayama. All 14 players who have won on TOUR this season will be competing, including Max Homa, who currently sits in second in the FedExCup Standings. The Californian shot an impressive 6-under-par 66 in the final round of last year’s event to finish T13. 2021 winner Justin Thomas will be looking for his first win since the 2022 PGA Championship. The World No. 9 has recorded just one top-10 finish so far in 2023 and will be looking to recreate some of the magic that saw him shoot a combined 12-under-par across rounds three and four to secure THE PLAYERS two years ago. 30 players will be competing in the event for the first time, including 2022 Wyndham Championship and Shriners Children’s Open winner Tom Kim.

    @Jo Po Not as much Tension or Importance??? please EXPLAIN… the ONLY REASON players joined LIV tour is for MONEY.. cause THERE IS NO GLORY!! or PRESTIGE… and ALL THOSE PAST PGA bums with GRUDGES need and want money… BECAUSE NONE OF THEM … can EVER CATCH TIGER"S RECORDS or PGA is the STANDARD of COMPETITION! lets keep it that way! you win here and then at MAJORS.. is all that matters! I could play on SAUDI LIV tour and MAKE money, easily on a team! try winning at golf by yourself… THATS A CHAPION!!

    Announcers have a tendency to hype up every little thing Justin Thomas does, even if it's just opening a bottle of water. Gone are the days when there was a clear-cut number one player who dominated the field, like Tiger Woods who was the greatest of all time. As they say, there can only be one Highlander.

    Phenomenal tournament. LiV board meeting is probably pretty tense right now. I give it 16 months before they pull the plug

    Who ever is in charge of doing the highlights needs to do another job. You put up highlights of players finishing a round and then go backwards showing highlights with that player's name on the leaderboard 4 or 5 holes back. Also showing a player's approach but not the putt. PGA is getting worse everyday. 😔

    I have been in Jax, Fl since the late 1970's. I have watched on TV or at the course this tournament. It never gets old & always delivers a great champion golfer. It was so cool to see all of Scheffler's family & his incredible 88 year grandma following him. No tour can come close to the PGA~! Shalom

    Cam Smith would have smoked Scheffler!! These guys on tour can now never say they have played against the greatest in the world, because some the worlds greats no longer play on the PGA tour! Can’t wait for the Masters!!

    What’s up with the LIV fan boys coming to PGA videos just to tell in to the ether. I like LIV too but the PGA tour hate is utterly ridiculous. Cam finished last year at -13 and Scottie won this year at -17. 😅

    This is why not many people watch golf relative to the number of people who play golf. Random good shots without any context just isn’t particularly interesting.
