Getting hit in the face with a paddle is way worse than a tennis ball, given that the crowd sits much closer than tennis games. Is it gonna take an injury to implement rules to penalize players who can’t control their emotions? Maybe!
If can't accept losing just play no sport. It is still unsportsman conduct even if the game just finished.
Throwing paddles, slamming paddle for timeout, breaking paddles during game, raising clench fist toward opponent for celebration after a point, and yelling toward opponent that ruling bodies should reconsider on ruling about those uncontrolled emotions.
That was the second time he threw his paddle in the match. I didn't see the referee talk to him the first time, nor did I hear the announcers talk about it. That incident should have resulted in a technical foul and loss of a point (Rule 13.G.2.a.). I don't know what the referee said this time but it should normally have resulted in a match forfeit (Rule 13.I.3.b.). This match had just ended so that 'might' not apply. I did see that one of the referees 'tried' to talk with him to no avail. Regardless, I would have told his partner that I was reporting the incident to the tournament director, prior to turning the scoresheet in, and recommending that it be recorded as a forfeit. I'm also going to use a clip of this incident in my future referee clinics (2 next month) showing the kinds of behavior that cannot be tolerated.

Imma try this too and apologize after
He’s a primadonna
Spoiled brat. Sad commentary on child-rearing in America today.
That lady should have thrown the paddle at his face and apologized afterwards. That paddle can knock some teeth out if it hits the face
