  1. 2 days ago: started a cricket game with triple 20, was way ahead, missed bullseye probably about 10 rounds (just needed one to win) until I lost. Continued after the game out of being stubborn and couldn't get it after maybe 15 minutes.
    Needed this

  2. I have to figure out how to get over nerves when playing league. We were cruising through the tournament until crashing into the top two teams and our nerves got us. I did about 5ppd less than my average on 01. I was right on the wire of the bull every round but rarely found the inside.

  3. I’m glad this video popped up today. I’ve been struggling so much the last two days with getting frustrated with how I’m playing.

After looking up so many videos on how to play darts, how to throw, your videos about strategy and all, I’m READY TO GO dominate and play some good darts. However, I’m throwing 0 marks a couple times per game. Meanwhile I’ve gotten my first ever 180 and 2 other “3 in the bed”, but then play poorly the other parts of the game. I still miss my marks sometimes up to two wedges/numbers away and it drives me mad. I have a burn to be competitive but it’s really difficult to progress the way I really want to. Mentally I’m ready to dominate. Skill wise, I BLOW.

For now, I’m trying to focus on a consistent throw/form because being surprised where my darts land is driving me crazy in the worse way. Im trying to reflect that I’ve only been throwing for nearly two months but still frustrating.

If you have anything for me to focus on or any wise words, I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the greats videos. Time for me to rewatch this one and really soak in the content – this is perfect timing for my current struggles. THANK YOU.

  4. Dave, holy fuck man…this video was amazing! Loved hearing the guidance of how you navigate the mental game of darts. I've told a bunch of my friends/teammates to watch this video. Excellent video brotha!!

  5. I wish I knew how to remove the mental aspect from the game. I have trouble dealing with the extra adrenaline that occurs in-game, compared to during practice, it makes my arm feel spring-loaded and unpredictable at times.

  6. Great information. Love the info about you can only control what you do and the past accomplishments/it’s a new day mentality. I’ll def use this and pass it along. Thanks.

  7. Warm up before the warm up, nice! Expectations are a tough mindset to abandon but I agree with your statements. Removing expectations made me successful in many other arenas of my life because you aren't affected by disappointment or pleasant surprise anymore. Staying even 🙂

  8. My friends always tell my u never are pissed off when u miss your spots , ofc im pissed but i dont show it and try to forget about the mistake but my dad is a great dart player himself he always say u need to have a short memory forget about the past focus on the next round

  9. All great advice. I've only played competitive for a year and find myself getting frustrated when I am "this close" or when I have a night that I know I can play better. Great reminder to let the past go and focus on the present dart, leg, match, etc… Keep up the great videos!
