Viv Anderson – Forest, Arsenal, Man Utd, Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley, Middlesbrough

Hilarious football podcast with Viv Anderson, talking about his time at Arsenal, Manchester United and Nottingham Forest winning the European Cup in back to back seasons.

Viv also talks about playing under some notable managers, such as Brian Clough, George Graham, Sir Alex Ferguson, Bobby Robson and Terry Venables. He tells how Gazza was dragged off the pitch after consuming too many Redbull energy drinks. He also tells some hilarious stories about one player stealing the team bus and what happened when Bobby Robson had to borrow Glen Hoddle’s boots.

Fore Four 2 Podcast is a podcast hosted by ex professional footballer John Mcginlay and Liam Harrison From GolfMates.

  1. Liam and John – Viv was my second of these "shows" (I do not think any other word sums up the fantastically entertaining, informative, and captivating viewing). Keep doing what you are doing – nobody is close to you both for making us feel like we are chatting to these legends in the Clubhouse after a friendly but competitive game of golf. What about Sir Kenny Dalglish?

  2. Stumbled across this by accident – Not a fan of any of the clubs he was involved with but loved watching Viv. How he only got 30 England caps is a mystery! I remember Kenny Burns headbutting someone from behind back in the day – must have been a big game as my mum was watching. Thereafter whenever she saw Kenny playing she would call him "Noddy"!

  3. Fantastic interview. Viv is a top guy. Seems to have so much respect from his fellow professionals

  4. Viv was amazing, should have had twice as many England caps but he had twice as much to prove as other lads in those days.

  5. Watched Viv from The Stretty many times….lovely bloke, great to see him looking well.

  6. This word is thrown around too much for mediocracy. Viv is a proper LENEND! Great job and career, fella! 🙂

  7. Just to correct the record, Viv's mistaken about Fergie's ECL victories. United never (ever) finished 4th in the EPL under Fergie.
Fergie's United won the Champions League in '99 having finished 2nd in the.league the previous year. '99 was the treble winning year, and they won that ECL having already.won the EPL and FA Cup days earlier. Also, this was the first of a hattrick of EPL titles.

Fergie's United then won it in 2008 as the reigning Premier League champions for the 2nd year of 3 in a row, United's 2nd EPL hattrick.

  8. Brian Clough was a football genius, no debate whatsoever. Old big head was a football genius who should of been England manager,,we would of won the World Cup. It’s incredible a No mark, can make such a statement.
But then what do I know, You voted Brexit, you voted Tory, you know what I know? Thinking isn’t the English strong point X

  9. Viv Anderson is so humble & what a great guy . Viv would be a first choice in any of the top teams in Europe in today's football , he was that good .

  10. Viv Anderson class act on and off the field. Privileged to hear him talking about his career.

  11. Absolutely superb lads…What a top top footballer and football man Viv was…made the game look easy…Would love to see Stuart Mccall or Dean Windass on lads in the future if you get the opportunity…keep up the great work John and Liam 👏🏻👏🏻⚽️⚽️

  12. Pretty sure Ian Bowyer was already at Forest when Clough arrived. So was Viv, Woodcock, John Robertson, Martin O'Neil – so he had the nucleus of a good side already, then added a 'spine' with Shilton, Lloyd/Burns, Gemmill and Francis. Great team and Viv is a Clifton lad, like me.

  13. Stumbled on to your podcast by chance today and I thoroughly enjoyed the interview with top boy Viv. Brilliant, have subscribed.
