The traditions and history of Golf are generally associated with a conservative development over a long time by men. it was not that ago the women members at golf clubs were referred to as "Associate members" and not regarded as full members. Much has been done and much is still being done to attract young girls and women to Golf. There is a market that requires further servicing and attention "Junior girls golf. the game, the equipment and the clothing needs to be targeted to young women. Recent experience trying to do a club fit for a developing junior girl indicated there are not many club options that fit (An 11 to 12 Year old) The adult clubs simply cannot be "cut down" it is not that simple. Club length, weight, swing weights, grips sizes and shaft flex, and a golf ball, has to be correct for propper fitting. There are not enough golf bags, golf shoes, golf clothes and general equipment that are appealing to young golfers. An opportunity and challenge exists for an "influencer" (sorry) to raise these issues and get corporations and an industry to notice this. Challenge delivered…. over to you Mia!
