  1. Thanks for your videos Alex! I am in Reno/Lake Tahoe this week and no golf. Tomorrow’s high is 32/0 and the following days are not much better. Back home to Vegas on Monday to some warmer weather. Practicing vicariously through you this week.

  2. Another great video, like most average players I use castle tee's. Could you suggest correct colours for different clubs. I use red for all irons and even woods all the way to a 3 wood, cheers Matt.

  3. 6 Par 3's on my home course. Goal for a good round for a low handicap golfer like me is to have 5 three's or more on the scorecard. This could be par on a par 3, birdie on a par 4 or eagle on a par 5. 3 is always a great score on any hole.

  4. This is brilliant! I definitely tee up all my shots on par 3, but it's always just bottomed out complete like your 50 degree. I'll try this out the next time I'm out.

  5. the hardest par three for me on our course is only 80 yards to the center of the green . we have a tree on the right about halfway so you are almost blocked from the right side of the green . For some reason my shots always end up left , Ithink Iam turning to fast and hitting the ball with a close face . Iwill figure it out though .

  6. Hi Alex, impressed as always with your tips, it so happens that today I was lucky enough to play a back 9 holes with a pro, "Harry Oggy and like you have demonstrated Harry did the same and of course I adapted

  7. As my 2023 golfing season is getting ready to start, I'm wearing out my carpet with your daily tips. One question on this tip – I'm guilty of putting the ball on the ground on Par 3s. Do the ball positions change when tee up the ball? Thanks

  8. There are 4 par 4’s at our place. All card killers if you don’t hit the green / fringe or get lucky. Good video and I may be one who needs to drop my tee heights a little for the wedge. Thx for the top tip as always 👍🏻

  9. I'm going to put this into play straight away. We have standard 4 Par 3's per 18… but I normally just hit my W or Iron off deck on par 3's.
    100% trying this.

  10. That is a original video , cheers . I’ve always just used a green tee . I will be playing around with my tee heights once we get back on normal summer tees

  11. This is a video I didn't think I needed to see, because I always use tees on par 3s. Now It seems that I'm teeing it way too low on some of my lower lofted clubs. I think some of these setup videos are the most helpful, especially for the amateur hacker.

  12. Don’t have any difference of tee height today between all of my irons … need to try this asap with my 3i !! Do you change ball position compared to when you play your irons off the deck?? Or same?

  13. Excellent tips Alex for different tee heights for different irons on par three holes. The course I play on has four par threes (two on the front nine, two on the back nine.) Since I am now a "experienced" golfer, I have decided to change my five iron in for a five hybrid. More positive thinking and more consistent shots! Good Job Alex!

  14. My home course has five par 3's which is somewhat unique. Even more unique is that there are back-to-back par 3's on both the front and back 9.

  15. My scores on par 3's have improved since I STOPPED using a tee peg! I was almost never hitting the green and was often yanking the ball left. I had to try something. So, I stopped using a tee peg. I hit some better shots, my confidence improved…and that started a positive feedback loop. I'm loath to go back to using a tee peg now even though I understand how it does make sense. (I do use a tee peg on long par 3's)

  16. Great video Alex. I have a friend who never tees up an iron on the tee box. Lol I tell him I heard a saying " tee it up whenever you can. " the Golden bear said that.

  17. I watched Arnold Palmer give a lesson to his grandson. And he made him put the ball on a tee on every par 3. I always do it.

  18. Hi Alex, I use a 5 hybrid over a 5 iron
But I've not tee'd it any higher than a mini green castle
Will be trying it higher at the weekend after seeing this
Our course, Chalgrave Manor, has 5 par 3's. 2 if not 3 of which have treacherous sloping greens
Easy to de-green an attempted chip on and very testing even for the lower/single figured handicap players in our groups

    Appreciate all your videos buddy

Ps I was the winner of the LTDX driver comp last year and finally after getting help and getting my bad back seen to and a few physio sessions, I managed to hit a 275-ish yrd drive at the weekend
Which is defulinitely a PB for me
To say I was ecstatic is an understatement

  19. Absolutely Alex, one of my first golf tips was from my future father-in-law. He said to always take advantage to tee up the ball. It really does make a difference and gives me great control. Most of the courses we play have four par three's, and a couple have five. Thanks for another great video, I really enjoy these.

  20. Alex. I watch your video daily. Thank you. I do have a question. I feel like I really have good practice swing. But soon as I get over the ball…. I just try to kill it and temp is all over the place. Help!

  21. My son's coach is big on that. It's worked it's way into my game too. Super consistency and crispy iron drives!

  22. At my club we have 5 par 3's. 3 of them are 200 yards plus of the back tees and can be absolute card reckers. Will try this tomorrow in a practice round but still have to hit it straight

  23. One year of coaching but only a week of this change and he broke 79. Cut the bull and get real

  24. My Dad taught me to waggle the tee peg backward and forward before address, so it doesn't interfere with the club coming through…

  25. Thanks for the tip Alex. I never even considered what tee size I'm using for a par but it makes total sense now you've explained what we should be doing. Brilliant 😁⛳

  26. HI Alex, I play a course with 5 par 3's two of which are up steep hills and one on top of a cliff and you tee up from the bottom and have to get it too the top at 105 yards.
when hitting up to greens and holes with steep inclines do you have to club up to take into to account the fact that the green is way above you??? i am a 54 year old novice and find I am struggling to get to the green with short clubs and have to go 6i

  27. Please beware, I have found using a 5H on a 200yd par3 when the tee is higher than minimal. It flies higher and short. Similar with 5i. The hybrid for me is just easier and less effort. It maybe just me. I use a slight shoulder tilt down towards target to adjust compression and loft. I is an old amateur…

  28. Thanks Alex love this little tip just as an additional question what tee height would be best for 3w off the tee?

  29. I always carry a broken tee with me (or 1" tees I find) to tee up my irons at the tee box.

  30. My home course has eight Par 3s, four of which are over 200 yards. I always use a tee on the par 3s. Overall, it's Par 64. The front 8 holes are links, and the other 10 parkland.
