  1. Unless unavoidable always try to get fitted by my pro, that way the club fits the way I'm trying to swing the club rather than how i am hitting the club that day

  2. Nothing more quickly will improve your skill than learning to do lots of opposites: Learning to hit a Draw with a super weak grip, Learning to hit a fade with a super strong grip, hitting high draws with a 4-iron & low cuts with a PW, and my favourite, hitting Draws with open face toe-weight Drivers & then hitting Cuts with a shut face & the weighted in the heal. In a 45min range session, you can get most high handicap golfers to hit most of these shots – and it blows their mind they can do it.

  3. Have you seen different people react different ways to the change in loft etc or is that horizontal to vertical spectrum consistent?

  4. Logical and reasonable but, as you remarked, can I develop a modified swing according to advice? Since I cannot go through a round without some sort of bad patch, I am reluctant to go through this process of lessons and fitting, even though logically it's the sensible thing to do.

  5. Thought provoking. So 'fitting' may just play into the swing faults of your average golfer, and rob them of the opportunity to allow accurate bio-feedback that might actually improve their mechanics? Having started using blades, where accuracy of strike is critical, I have always felt the 'game improvement' money making machine has just lead people up the garden path to worse golf due to too much margin for error, and poor feedback on how they are hitting the ball. Anyway, great stuff as always. Thanks.

  6. My custom fittings have all been kinda crap with the exception of the Edel putter fitting I had, but I haven't spent the big money on a Club Champion fit either, mine were all done at a store.

  7. I don't understand why this channel does not have the 'Subs' and 'Views' like Rick Shiels channel.? Rick offers nothing compared to Mark Crossfield. IMO.

  8. Great video…..If your fitter can’t explain your tendencies based on your impact delivery, ask them to. If they can’t, ask for a refund and leave. There’s many qualified fitters out there who understand the balance of golf fundamentals and technology. Don’t waste your time with those who have no idea but think they do.
