3 Big Driver Mistakes You Need to Avoid

Almost every golfer struggles with their driver swing and the majority of the time we all make the same mistakes. The majority of these mistakes can be corrected right now with golf tips that will help with your driver setup and swing.

If you are struggling with your driver golf swing, chances are you might be making one or more of these common golf driver mistakes. Luckily in this driver swing lesson, we have some simple driver tips from Todd Kolb for each of these mistakes to help you get your ball back in the fairway and help you add more driver distance to your game! Side note, these are great golf driver tips for seniors as well!

As you take your golf driver setup, tilt the shoulders slightly. You want the lead shoulder to be slightly higher and the trail shoulder to be slightly lower. That will help you hit up on the ball and get the nice, high drive you’re looking for.

  1. Hi Todd from the UK. Thanks for the video with some great tips for the driver. I always make sure my right shoulder is pulled slightly back, before pulling the trigger, and I usually draw the ball. Thanks once again, Todd.

  2. Thanks Coach Todd, as always I love the video. I’m hitting my new Callaway Rogue sooooooooooo much better and I’m taking my time to set up better. Yes once or twice a round I’ll not hit it well, I believe it’s bad rotation and improper back swing (going around my body). Since I’ve gotten the new driver I went from 15.4 to 10.9 handicap. Today is a golf day as work tomorrow 😂, wishing you and all the team a wonderful day ahead.
