Great video! Do you have any opinion about the "ideal" degree of what the ideal backswing plan, in degrees, could be?
I have noticed that you and other pro golfers don't wear glasses. With bifocals it may be harder to keep from dropping your chin to see the ball. Could you maybe comment on this? Thank you like all your lessons.
Hi Todd,, A big thank you for all of your videos they really do help. Would you please cosider doing a future video on a problem I have and I know my friends have and that is the lack of distance improvemnt between clubs as you go through the bag. Let me explain , Im a seniior golfer coming up 72 now and I have distance increase on the pitching wedge 9 iron and 8 iron but when it comes to the 7,6 and 5 irons they all give me the same distance with no improvement so you can understand why the 5& 6
irons generally stay in the bag , can you help please, Regards Richie
Great swings have minimal supination&pronation; wrist action is mainly ulnar & radial deviation.
Todd. You are the best! Alex fr Roxbury NY. I have the vertical line swing video and working with it.
We are full-time RVer's. Have played golf all over the country. Play most of our golf in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas where we spend our winters. Nice but usually very windy.
Todd,
1. In this video, you are against keeping your head down, and still. Are you advocating that with putting as well? I have always been under the impression that you should.
2. What is your opinion on starting the backswing with a slight forward press of the club or the knee, or both?
hi todd, whenever i try to swing harder off the tee with my driver i can hook it 30 to 40 yards left of my target line. What,s' the cause? love your videos.. Paul NZ.
I have all hybrids from 4 through wedge how come I still hit behind the ball
Most helpful golf instruction I’ve ever had! I’m hitting way better shots! Thanks so much.
I'm having trouble getting out of the bunker
Just subscribed thank you sir
Todd, I am a super senior golfer in St. Augustine, Florida, and I love your instructional videos. I am pulling a lot of my shots with all my clubs, and I'd like a drill (or drills) to correct my swing fault. Bill
Hi Todd. I am reading David Leadbetter's book The A Swing. What is your opinion of this method? Thanks.
I'm a 80+ player from Ellsworth, Ohio…..I cant play as often as I'd like but your instruction videos provide me with something to implement each time out….Thanks
great video. I will practice this right away. my problem is mainly with my drives. I cannot hit more than 160 yards with my driver. i tried everything with no avail. i wonder if the problem is with my age. I am a 74 year old Canadian ( snowbird between Toronto and Florida) with a 25 handicap.. any tip you can give me?
Good advice! If you’ll notice, those restrictive swings are all arm swings. Relax & let the head move & you are hitting with your hands.
Todd, I assume I can use this with a slightly open stance?
thank you the the most simple and straight forward tips and instructions… I get so weary of the vids where the pro sounds more like he is teaching aerodynamics rather than golf… your eadsy to follow tips and such have freed me from so many of the ridiculous myths about the swing and ball contact… 'scribed…
Can you talk about wrist movement/release (or no)? Sometime I feel that I do a little thing with my wrists at the bottom of the swing. Not sure where it is coming from – og if it is a good thing!
Excellent video. The people I teach ( all ages ) are usually beginner golfers, most jerk their head up well before the clubhead reaches the ball resulting in either a poorly struck ball or a whiff. What I tell them is to keep their head as still as possible, also relaxed and without feeling restricted, at least until they make contact with the ball. Most get it within a few swings, but some do not.
