IAN'S TSR WOOD FITTING // Inside Ian's Fitting for the new TSR Woods from Titleist

Today, we have another exciting video from our trip to Oceanside, California at the Titleist TPI. Ian is once again switching roles as he gets fit for Titleist’s brand new TSR Woods.

The new TSR fairway metals exemplify the newest advancements in metalwood technology and offer options for all golfers looking to gain an advantage off the tee and off the deck.

The TSR2 fairway features maximum forgiveness and the lowest CG of the TSR fairway metal line, resulting in fast speeds and a high ball flight.

The TSR2+ fairway is a new addition to the TS fairway family, designed to be a long, forgiving, and tee-biased 3 wood that does not sacrifice playability off the deck.

The TSR3 is for players seeking precision-tuned performance, featuring a lower, deeper CG and anew-and-improved 5-position SureFit Adjustable CG Track System.

Watch to see Ian’s initial thoughts and experiences with these new clubs and how the new technology stacks up.

  1. This was awesome. Great video. Titleist seems to just have more fitting options than anyone. Ian, would love to hear your thoughts after playing them for a while

  2. Ian, I'd love to see a TSR2+ vs Stealth Rocket 3 wood battle to the death!!

  3. I carry a 5w and 7w and looked at TSi for both. Loved the simple all black look and they performed pretty well but felt incredibly dead off the face. It wasn't a confidence inspiring feel. Admittedly feel is as much about sound and the shaft has a massively influence but I couldn't get the feel I wanted with any of the Titleist stock shafts. Ended up with a G425 5w which is LOUD but apart from that feels better and gives me the distance I want and I have an Epic speed 7w which still is a bit dead feeling but far less than the Tsi2.

Difficult to tell from the video but the sound of the TSR seemed a little more lively than the TSi

  4. Can you do a break down of the fitting videos to to explain the the lingo and objectives that are trying to be achieved and why you are trying to achieve those objectives? Love the technical talk but just explain what and why it is being said during the process

  5. Got fitted for TSR2 5 wood last week. Love this entire new lineup of Drivers and Fairways. Huge improvements with the TSR2 (looks, feel and performance). Welcome to Team Titleist Ian.

  6. Love the video and to see Ian sink into the customer role and not let his brain take over.

What are the odds these get in the bag or does Ian modify his current gamer fairway woods to match these numbers? Lmao

  7. Ian, to see you so relaxed with Chris is a testament to how good a fitter he is. He has such a causal demeanor and delivery of information. You would probably be the hardest person to fit in the world, (like treating a doctor for illness), so to see such a smooth fit was awesome.

  8. I'd be interested to see what the guys behind Ian are thinking about Mac's fitting. Don't know how to fit that 60-yard slinging hook out there. lol

  9. just want to tip my hat to chris from titleist , to be tasked with a fitting with one of the greatest club fitters on the planet like ian , wow!!! great job!!

  10. Chris is the man. He fit me for my clubs a few months back!

Funny thing about the fitting. I swore I’d never go into a hybrid. I absolutely loved my 2 iron. He built me four or five 2 irons and then built some hybrids and I just couldn’t say no to the hybrid and now it’s without a doubt my favorite club in the bag. I also loved that he didn’t try and talk me out of the 2 iron. I feel like most fitters would tell me I’m an idiot and he just let the fitting and numbers speak for themselves but ultimately left it up to me.

I was probably hitting my driver the worst I’ve ever hit it the day he fit me. I mean it was a joke and embarassing. Somehow he managed to work with it and with the new driver Im blown away.

Chris is the real deal. If you read this, thanks dude I love my clubs.

  11. Awesome fit. High pressure on Chris trying to fit a fellow elite fitter like Ian. Hope we get to see Ian and Max on a course with these, both indoors and outdoors.

Also can’t wait to see what Mac’s window was 🤣
