I had the pleasure of running CCC this weekend. Chamonix and the Mont Blanc region is such a special place.

I was lucky to be in Chamonix this year. My highlight for UTMB was Zach Miller going all out for last 400m so that he didn't get caught. The determination on his face was unreal.
I think Jim will lead early then Kilian will over take him and win.

Ran my first race 50km in mud, vater and stone! was nice top40 in the TMC Rab ultra 50Km. Mud and rain all the way
Kilian simply has no peer. Course record at Hardrock, runs Sierre Zinal, turns out he has Covid, then another course record at UTMB. Not a bad six weeks of work. And Katie Schide making it 3 straight wins for American women!!
been on the Mont Blanc 2 months ago and this mountain is HUGE. Respect for anyone who were running around it in this race.

I was incredibly lucky to win a trip to UTMB this year with Terrex, and we got to watch the finish line from a balcony right above. The atmosphere was unreal. If you get chills just from watching the race online (as I did last year), it's a thousand times better in person.
A tip for anyone planning a trip there – if you volunteer at the UTMB, you can get a bib for the MCC the following year. It's a 40km race with 2.3k meters of elevation gain that is only open to volunteers and local runners, so it's a good way to take part in the event without having to grind those UTMB trails to collect points or whatever system they're currently using to select participants for the OCC, CCC, TDS, and the UTMB itself.
Great video, just a small correction, Kilian Jornet is from (ESP) not from (NO). He lives in Norway, but he is from Spain and he always runs under the Spain (ESP) abbreviation.
I feel like this is the last year UTMB falls 'under the radar" so to speak. It has been gaining in recent years but it's always kind of kept it's self to the ultra community. This year I feel like it popped up on a lot of people's radar who had no idea ultra running was even a thing. I think next year UTMB is going to get right out of hand:)

Awwww…We missed you at UTMB this year! Crowds 10 people deep for Killian's finish. Absolutely insane. Def think you should consider running the OCC (50k) soon… good distance for you with your PP racing experience…
