  1. When I was a kid in the 70s wtae had a softball team that came to play in our town. I remember talking to Bill who was on the team and he gave me a dollar to go to the concession stand to get him a Coke. That must have been about 1977

  2. There's a great clip of Bill on WTAE Bowling for Dollars with Nick Perry (remember him?) He needed a strike to win for his charity and I think he hit two or three in a row. Also remember him early on along with Jack Flemming on Steelers broadcasts.
