I got to play this course on my birthday in 2014. It was an amazing day. Shot 85.
I had no tee time. I asked the starter how to get on, and he told me to show up the next day early and try to get on the list.
I got there at 4:30 in the morning, I was 11th in line. Got my name on the list and the lady shook her head and said it didn't look good for me, and to come back at 11am.
The whole morning I was a nervous wreck, I had traveled from Hawaii to play this course with no advanced tee time. I walked in, she smiled and said I can get you out at 12:05. I just about cried. Got a pic of me and my brother on the tee with the big clock behind us showing 12:05. Just like she said..
The tee shot on 17 is amazing. I put it right in the middle of the fairway. took a 6. It's easy to hit the fairway, it's the rest of the hole that gets you….lol.
The Trevino style chip for Trevino from Tiger was class
So excited for this 150th BRITISH Open
Wish The Shark was there
How can you call this an open when you don't invite one of the greatest golfers of the modern era and two-time open winner to play in the tournament nor come to the champions dinner. Yes 2 times open legend Greg Norman. Just because he's trying to grow the game?
My favorite shot 3:30
Great job👍🏽
Good to see a little person got to compete at @3:42
Beautiful to see Greg Norman he……..oh sorry. Nvm
PGA under investigation by the DOJ, hopefully the R&A is under investigation next. Meanwhile Gary Player walks around with his Saudi sponsorship on his sleeve and Jack is building courses there. Pathetic hypocrites
Today at The Open | Celebration of Champions
minus previous champion Greg Norman who the R&A choose to exclude because they hate golf history.
But they are so petty they don't invite a two time champion named Greg Norman. BOOOOOOooooo politics. Boo monopolies.
🙋
They will destroy the course, 20 under par will be the winner
So sad Greg Norman is not there..he exicited many golf fans with his golf and wins in the Open Championships in 1986 and 1993…not a true celebration if living champions are not allowed…
So excited about The Open returning to visit the auld grey toon seven years is a long time to be away. I even wrote and filmed a little poem to celebrate all the St Andrews Open championships from my lifetime 1970 to 2015.
Not the same without Greg Norman the 2 times winner.
Where’s Greg Norman???? Dumb
The “disabled” golfer with one leg is far from it! What an amazing golf shot. The skill and talent required to play golf well is enormous but for them to do what they do is out of this world. Congratulations
The fee ways at sin nandroos are feem
This seems extra special, i watched a 15 min vid last night, inside the ropes or something and it was amazing watching absolute legends of golf clown around and take pictures and see friends….Nicklaus, Trevino, Player, Watson, Woods, Rory, everyone was there. Whoever wins this one will have won a very special Open.
Ben, Bobby, Jack, yes, that has a ring…
ARNOLD PALMER THE KING wish at least something was said about what he did for the OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP, golf, the FIRST 2 make money by selling other products. FIRST 2 fly his own plane from tournament 2 tournament. also the reason players started getting paid more and the guy who got players to have a say about the game they play.
he was a friend of the PGA and most likely more conservative in his thinking then others and that's why they don't say much about all his done for golf.
yeah maybe he didn't win as much as some others but to a lot of us he will always be the KING OF GOLF and he didn't cheat on his wife with a bunch of $1000 hookers. but PGA and golf don't care about morals and real class they care about how much money you make for them.
ARNOLD PALMER THE KING of golf past, present and for always
Rater cet open….Amaury avec tes 440 millions d euros de chiffres d affaires
Tu sais meme pas de quoi on parle…t es pas CQFD!
