  1. Loved the last exchange. Driver swing speed 80-85. Handicap is about 15 Over the years my set up has evolved. Carry a driver and a 4W and then go to hybrids … Currently using pings g-400 hybrids (4-6) (but also have a 3h) and g400 irons 6 thru the UW. And 2 wedges (54) and (58). The 6i I rarely use. Tend to Agree with Chris us non elite golfers could go with fewer clubs. The gaps at the top end really don’t matter as much but the scoring clubs (8i thru LW) are more impt. The teeth of the comb as Tony described. And Dave Pelz et al have also called out.

  2. For distance issue on the PGA, they should do like baseball (wooden bats for pros and aluminum for everyone else). Steel shaft for professional tour players while everyone else can use graphite, steel or whatever new materials will be used in the future.

  3. more traditional lofts please. 3 iron at 21*. And the Fli-hi not having too much jacked loft. I would like the fli-hi 2 iron to be 18* and maybe a fli-hi 1 iron at 15* would be lovely!

  4. Got fitted for new mizuno irons in March in the UK. Delivery date now mid July. What's the point.

  5. Yes you guys were wrong on your US Open picks. Matt had been playing so well leading up to it come on guys watch more TV. 🏌️

  6. You guys were so wrong with your US Open picks. Come on guys Matt was playing so well leading up to the US Open you need to watch more golf on TV. 🤣🏌️😂🏌️😂

  7. I know MGS don't really condone brand loyalty in general, but since I bought my first ever set of used Mizuno TP-9s in the early 90s because of Faldo, I have never had any other iron brand in my bag. I love their quality and I particularly like how their marketing (what there is of it) is understated as opposed to the brash, in your face bluster of certain other brands, and I like how their people like Chris and a few of the European staff are so enthusiastic with their in-depth knowledge.

  8. I would have to agree with Chris that a rollback would be messy. Landscaping might be cheaper.

  9. Maybe manufacturers should ditch the 9i, 8i, 7i, etc. naming convention and just state the loft of the iron and gap them based on golfers needs. People don’t want a set that has 6i and 8i but no 7i but if they had a 28* and 34* they might be more accepting. There are currently no standards for the lofts anyway.

  10. I really enjoyed this NPG and Vos is always a great guest. I'd love to know what JPX is coming out with before I go to get fitted.

  11. Chris is always captivating and entertaining. He is a stand up candid guy with enthusiasm and sincerity. Funny how timing can be critical in life…just yesterday I was talking with my son who just received his Masters degree in chemistry last December from University of Waterloo (quite a prestigious university) and he got hired by the same university immediately after receiving his Masters degree to teach chemistry labs. We spoke about the fact that his skills are transferable to many industries and he is an absolute golf nut and would love to design golf clubs or balls. We spoke specifically how great a guy Chris is and how cool he is and how fascinating it would be to work with someone like Chris and a company like Mizuno with such a strong brand recognition for quality and attention to detail. My son and I have played Mizuno irons our entire lives and we breathe Mizuno forged steel. Sharing this video with my son to show him that this is perhaps a sign from the great one above and that he should pursue his dream and that many of Chris' thoughts reinforce what my son and no spoke about. Cheers and blessings from Canada to mygolfspy, Mizuno and of course the great one himself Chris Voshall

  12. Chris V, I don’t like the new 223. The heads look way to progressive chunky. I place the MP 20 MMC (love them) and was sad to see the next generation 223 get chunkier (I’ve been told they’re not, but hold the 7 irons up side by side) and also sad they use the chromaloy- keep that stuff in the JPX forged

  13. Chris is superb as always…loved the swing speed depicting the gapping suggestion….im 5 at the long end and 4 at short end

  14. 10 clubs sounds good, what happend to good old half sets? and just fill the gaps

  15. I agree with Tony on the gapping. It starts at the wedges and works up from there. I go 50/55/60 and the pw has to be 46 or 45 at the most; then it's 4° down from there

  16. They said Brooks was the most winning person that played Mizuno irons? Didn't Tiger play Mizuno irons for several years early on?

  17. Personally enjoyed LIV due to the fact it was a short 4-5 hour telecast and it had same level of interest as pga tour regular event
