The REAL COST of Playing In Tournaments | DISC GOLF | Miss Frisbees

Hello everyone! This video is all about the cold hard CASH! Chris and I went on a little road trip to play two tournaments and we thought it would be interesting to show you how much we spend on a tournament weekend. If you like this style of video let us know in the comments, we could also show you how much it costs to do Pro Tour Events!
Thank you all so much for coming along on our journey!

  1. Thanks for sharing the financials with us. It was great to greet you on a course (Spring Valley) that I play frequently. I hope you you have safe travels and wish you the best!

  2. Full meals are more difficult but I usually cook a bunch of pasta ahead of time to take with me. It’s cheap and easy and doesn’t have to be refrigerated. It is fine just tossed in olive oil or we will add a protein and vegetables when we’re ready to eat it (again to avoid needing a cooler or taking up tons of space in the cooler if we do take it). For snacks I like trail mix and jerky. For cheap easy sandwiches I take a loaf of bread a jar of peanut butter and some bananas to make peanut and banana sandwiches. Bananas are cheaper than jelly and don’t have to be kept in a cooler. They’re also better for you and can help with dehydration. It’s all stuff that’s really cheap (except the jerky) pretty good for you and none of it requires taking a cooler so that saves the hassle and mess of dealing with ice and cleaning the cooler and all the space they take up in the car.

  3. Your transmission may be ok. It’s possible that it’s just low on transmission fluid or needs a new filter. Don’t panic yet.
    * edit: Yes! I was right! Haha

  4. Michigan has lots of places to camp for free, if you have a tent… or you could sleep in your car to save money. It's not great but it could save you hundreds in hotels. Other states will more than likely have a camping place as well, like a KOA.

  5. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any pros address this….but is there any prohibition from the PDGA regarding players having Patreon accounts to use toward touring expenses? Just curious.

  6. Love the framing during the financial recap. The sunset reflecting in y'all's glasses was :chefskiss:

  7. Wow, $450 CDN for a weekend away. I can’t believe that you got away with spending less than $50 on food. I hate to think of what you had to eat to pay that little.

  8. Wow! You guys do really well on a budget. I do this for camping. I precook meals at home., and refrigerate in containers. Put them in a cooler and eat when ready. Fried chicken, pasta salad, all kinds of salads, pizza, stuff to make sandwiches, fruit, etc.

  9. Y'all should join the grit and grace ladies disc golf club based in Ypsilanti. Jen T. is the leader of the club. They have weekly ladies rounds with men's cards also. Y'all will love Jen. Also 24 chains disc golf club has weekly mob golf dubs which is quite fun

  10. McDonald's….get a sausage, egg, cheese meal (with hash brown), and a second sandwich. Break the hash brown in half and put half on each sandwich. Enjoy.

  11. Look at getting an RV van or small RV camper. Gas might be a bit expensive…but the long-term savings might be worth it.

  12. I've been told that when you have work done on your vehicle…the first thing you should after getting it back is to check all the fluid levels. Now I know why.
