In every break 80 episode, including the time I managed to break 80, at Low Laithes, I have always played off the white tees.
With most people playing off yellow tees, unless they’re in a competition, I wondered if I would find it any easier?
In theory it should be easier as you will have shorter approach shots. But is a 60 yard chip actually that much easier than a full 130 yard pitching wedge?
Hope you enjoy, Gaz!

Great video pal and didn't go in the bunker but put one in to see, throw it against the back so fair and got out first time pal SEVE
I wish I had a driver and wedge off the White tees at Woolley.
I usually have a driver and 7/6/5 iron in.
The white tees at Woolley are too long for me. I don't enjoy a round of golf from there. Always play the yellow tees.
& yes, I have been in that bunker, plenty of times. If we weren't playing Stableford I'd still be in it now.
Ild do a mix of both whites and yellows gaz , the whites will help you improve more with your long irons in to greens and playing off the yellows will improve your 100 yards in approach 👍🏻 , keep it up
Great intro mate pahaha i reckon you need to find your favourite yardage and that yardage you can play with like 3/4 clubs class content as always gaz 👍
Why did you not shout fore on the 11th
Unlucky there Gaz! You’ve definitely got the game to go consistently under 80.
I’d say keep playing off the whites if you can as it helps you to get comfortable with the longer course which helps with your mindset in competition.
I like to play the leave myself a yardage I like (130yds for a PW in) so I tailor my tee shots to leave that on the shorter holes, even if it means an iron.
Mostly because I’m shite with those half wedge shots… 😂
Just a quick one 1 Gaz ! How many clubs have you snapped off camera lol.
Pretty funny watching you golf Gaz. Was watching you "shag birds" with your "massive nob" in Geordie Shore not so long ago 😂. Good old days
Unlucky gaz I hard putts like that
Short game is tight laaaa
Hilarious ending Gaz 😂 Well played though.
you should've stepped away from that putt man, you weren't confident 🙁 a great putter is always confident in his stroke no matter what
where can i buy them sick Nikes from I've looked all over
Really enjoy your vids. I believe it would be a hoot to play a round with you, but at my age, I don't think I will ever get back to Europe. Our course has Blue tees (back), White (normal), Gold (Old-Man), and Red (ladies/super seniors). I switch up between blue, white, and gold. And you are absolutely correct, it is a different course from each set of tees. Keep going, you are definitely improving. But mostly, you are very entertaining for us.
Love the content mate, why don't you use a 3 wood or 4 iron off tea then give your self a longer shot in instead of the 40 50 yard stuff
Always play yellow tees and can’t even break 💯 🤦♂️🏌🏾♂️⛳️
Where did you get those Ellesse trousers?
Find it way harder off the whites
You’ll smash it next time 💪
Why take driver off every tee you can then. Work out what's going to leave you a full iron shot in and take that approach. For example 300y par 4, 8i 160y, pw 140y 2 putts for par. you'll be in a better position
Gaz, for that 18th birdie putt, you made a couple of practice swings and then extended your arms to the ball, but kept your feet where they were. That is a complete different swing for the real putt than the practice!!!
Great video, really funny at times, I completely know your pain. Golf is a roller coaster of emotions. You play great golf though, keep it up.
Finally broke 90 yesterday!
I'd happily be hitting 81 or 82 most rounds 🤣
All the best players in the world play off the shortest tees in practice so they get used to scoring low, definitely should do it more
Striking the ball mint. Can see improvements of a short period of time
Absolutely gutting, mate! I play off yellows when playing casually. I’d say a mixture of yellows and whites mixes it up nicely, especially if you play at same course all the time.
Just started watching you really good video mate well done
As soon as that monkey is off your back you’ll be hitting in the 70’s all the time 👍🏻
What hcap you playing off Gaz?
If it's casual I'm always off the yellows. I play whites in the comps a lot, so take the yellow rounds where I can!
Certain clubs only allow you to play yellows unless in a comp, like mine, so I always play yellows
