From the time I saw her beat Venus in the first round of Wimbledon back in 2019 when she was only 15 years old it's been building towards this. I almost consider myself an expert on women's tennis and I knew this time would come. Three years ago I predicted she would reach and win her first slam at the age of 17 and I still think that would have happened if not for COVID. Doesn't matter because she's here now. She's realized that with her superior athletic ability and movement her defense is spectacular but she also now uses her forehand to set up her world class backhand for clean winners. Although I think clay is her best surface, with her movement, serve, and backhand she will win her share of slams on grass and hard courts as well.

Gauff has improved a lot in her game, swiatek could be her "acid test" let us wait and see but am rooting for gauff
She has tremendous potential to be a dominant player for years, esp. with the WTA being as weak as it is with such mediocre players and inconsistent performances in general. But Swiatek is the real deal and I expect her to take the finals on Saturday.

Coco Gauff has no chance. She hits the ball directly to her opponent most of the time and does not know that ball placement is what Iga is very good at. Please Coco Gauff, hit the ball away from your opponent. Move your opponent around the court to win.
Why then is she crying a river when yesterday she said loosing won't matter as long as her parents still love her, she should learn to be honest it hurts she wasn't meant to be in the final anyway easy draw not beating any top players at least she tasted the final. Hope she enjoys serving tea tray looks amazing, congrats!!!
