  1. I can't see myself watching these events. An interesting question would be- what network is going to broadcast these tourneys? Seems like those networks could be banned later by the PGA tour as well or at least a lower consideration.

  2. Very good break down of whats going on. Here's my take. As time goes on the Saudi's pump more and more money in. Big names will jump when the money climbs, just as DJ did. There are players who think the PGA has been ripping them off for along time. Reports are that basically the PGA tour has benn paying 25% of revenues to players while pocketing the rest. In the 2 years since the LIV was announced now the PGA tour is giving 55% of the revenue to Players, amazing. But the players all know they have been getting ripped off and are not happy. If it wasn't for Phil's comments and the backlash he took a lot more top players would be in this first tournament. When the dust settles they will all be playing in LIV and the PGA tour will need to let them do it so they can survive. Need an example of how fast players leave for more money? Think of your favorite baseball or football player. How many of them stay with the team that drafts them when that team offers less money than a competing team in free agency? Almost all of them leave for more money. Do we think golfers are any different? When it comes down to it and they get offered a lot of guaranteed money to play LIV, almost to a man they will go. Do you think a golfer who is sponsored by Nike, who makes their shoes and clothes in a human rights hell like China, is going to care where his pay check is coming from? They are not going to ask how, just how much. As long as the Majors still allow the players in LIV to play in their tournaments there will be a mass exodus soon. The other option is the PGA tour allows their players to play LIV without suspending them. Then both tours can coexist.

  3. How is the European tour setup? Already established but are those players treated the same way as the PGA tour? My thoughts are this, you know the rules of the PGA when you sign up, if you don't like them, go elsewhere. Eventually it could impact change, however i think the money (or attention) for the LIV tour will run out before dramatic changes happen.

  4. 2 things, i’m betting a lot will watch the first couple out of interest and the second thing i would almost Guarantee player with PGA status would get more than $250,000 in sponsorship per year

  5. Great breakdown. The PGA is making a big up roar over human right for one reason money. They stand to lose the money they are making off players and sponsors and they are butt hurt. China has more human rights issues and you don’t hear them complaining about that! Like you said the Saudi’s have European Tour events and they didn’t say anything about human rights. Bottom line is if big money is being made these big organizations won’t say anything about any violations (human right or anything else) until something cuts into their profits.
