  1. Thanks for the review, really liking the yellow stripe on the tour response, can't wait to find a couple in the woods and try them out. BTW, that's how I started gaming my AVX's, which I really like

  2. Matt it's amazing how you've made yourself into both a scratch and a mid handicapper in order to provide reviews for both of those type of golfers. Keep up the awesome work!

  3. Enjoy the honest review. Will look at trying some as I feel I am getting ripped on the Pro V’s…

  4. I’d like to try them but it’s difficult to find some of these types of products recently here in Australia. I was using the Srixon Qstar divide which I liked, but I haven’t been able to find them since late January 🤷🏻‍♂️

  5. Great review Matt. Love the scratch and mid handicapper perspectives. Retail pricing in Australia so far has them very similarly priced to TP5/TP5x and I think that will affect it's popularity here.

  6. These balls used to be project a, that got rebranded , really excellent balls, but the striped version is a bit pricey – really would have liked for it to be $10 cheaper.

  7. Best putting alignment on a ball period. You can watch the ball roll for instant visual feedback on strike and super easy to line up. I hate alignment aids on the putter head but love this ball.

  8. We’ll done Matt. The Stripe is a game changer if you don’t do the line on the ball thing. Had back to back best putting rounds ever with the stripe. Easy to line up. Ordered 4 dozen

  9. Would love to see the stripe available on all their balls. I ordered 2 boxes of these but they are on back order with TGW and not available at most stores.

  10. Unbelievable how you can review a ball in two completely different ways for multiple types of golfers. 👊🏻 Absolutely love it!

  11. Great video Matt!! Would love to see you do these quick videos on Titleist AVX and Tour Speed right handed for us low to mid swing speed players. Keep up the awesome work!!

  12. tried the stripe out last weekend, mixed results to be honest. I liked the feel off wedges and putter, irons were ok, driver didn't feel great for me. also, putting with the stripe is awesome but hitting it off a tee I didn't like. the stripe is pretty wide, and tried lining it up in the direction I was trying to hit but it wasn't the best alignment aid for me again. overall good ball for the money and performed as I wanted it too.

  13. If taylormade puts stripe on the tp5 I would never buy another ball in my life. I love the stripe on the tour response, and it performs for me pretty similar to the tp5, but the tp5 feels much better around the greens coming off the face.

  14. Is under-compressing a ball a concern for slower swingers? What speed & compression is non-compatible?

  15. I just recently found the Taylormade Kalea golf ball at a sports store for $18.99 USD. It would be very interesting to see a video on them. They felt very soft during chips and putts but very similar on mid irons and driver to a regular ball

  16. Another amazing video! The only golf pro YouTubing that can shew us two different categories of swing speed for accurate reviews!

Also Matt, please do a review of Titleist velocity balls…. very interested how they stack up and what category of golfer they would work for, considering the price point!

  17. Great review…love the changing speeds numbers…cause better players do this often with their clubs, specifically wedges…well done Matt!

  18. Other reviews I saw were complaining about the lack of spin in the mid irons compared to a top tier ball. I like how you put it into perspective where it's really a feature depending on what spin you are looking for.
Also your slower swing speed when right handed makes your reviews much more watchable comparatively to others. It's great to see how balls perform when used by someone who gets close to pro numbers and then see immediately after how it actually relates to my higher handicap game.

  19. Great information Matt! Will you be testing other lower price urethane balls from the major brands such as the new Q Star Tour from Srixon or Titleist Tour Speed? It would be interesting to see how they compare to the Taylormade.

  20. Same question about these balls–the class of 3-piece urethane balls right under the tour balls–who are they for? We know they cost a little less, but forget that for a moment. Do we lose some performance? Do we gain some? Where?

I'm impressed that you're getting similar results to a tour ball. But what about the rest of us?

I know these are broad questions with individual implications, but it would be interesting to know what the manufacturers say so we can decide whether or not to find out for ourselves.

I played 9 holes with it recently. My driver speed is 97mph and my 8-iron speed is 84. I didn't see much difference off the tee or with approach shots. But I did feel it failed to spin enough when chipping and pitching. But that was from a very brief observation, and not done with head-to-head comparisons. I could be very wrong.

The real value is putting. I've played the Triple Track, the Divide, and now the Stripe. The Stripe is the only one that I felt made a material improvement with putting.

Your right-handed numbers really helped, Matt. Thanks for that.

  21. A comparison would have been good. With like an AVX or Prov1

  22. This shows how important a proper ball fit can be. The low-spin iron section makes me think back to the Project X LS 7.0 video you did with TXG a few months ago. While that shaft DID provide the results as advertised, you can save $250+ on NOT making a shaft change and $10 per dozen by just making a ball change

  23. I currently play the vice pro and spin it pretty high so picked up the Tour Response with the stripe to see how they perform with the lower spin. Thanks Matty

  24. Really like the pace of talk vs shots. Other channels tend to do a lot of talking and rows of numbers. Really love how you cut right to the point even though you can talk numbers as well as anyone

  25. Your right hand swing is still faster than average imo. I’ve done some testing over the winter break and there is a significant difference in distance between premium balls (like chrome soft and pro v) and mid range urethane cover balls (like tour response and q star tour). If you have 140 driver ball speed and lower stick with the mid range balls. You’ll get better distance and keep the nice spin and feel for short game. Premium balls are meant for 100 mph+ swing speeds. Thank me later.

  26. Really good review. I changed to this ball last year from TP5 and have not been disappointed. I even impressed the TaylorMade fitter when getting new irons, said it was perfect ball for my launch conditions

  27. i really like this ball, however, the yellow (light green) stripe ball is impossible to find. you will lose this ball more than any colored or white ball. it simply blends in especially in the spring with every shade of grass. dull light green. you will lose it in the middle of the damn fairway. not just me, my friends are sick of looking for it 3 feet off the fairway, and its right in front of us….the whole time.

  28. I just got a box of the stripes as a gift. I’m actually excited to use it for alignment off the tee haha
