25th Anniversary Of Tiger Woods' Historic Masters Win | The Masters

25 years ago, a 21-year-old Tiger Woods garnered his first Masters win, and inspired a generation. #theMasters

Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

  1. I love Faldo's quote somewhere he said Woods chipped in for birdie on 12 on Thursday and that was basically it for the next 12 years

  2. With his 1997 Masters win and the victories to follow Tiger Woods helped inspire thousands of kids, myself included at the time, to pickup the game of golf.

  3. If he does play lets see how his leg holds up or does he retire from the Tournament halfway through.

  4. This man is an absolute legend…. He is and always will be my favorite athlete. If he tees it up this week it will be a very emotional moment for a lot of fans. Welcome Back Tiger.. we've missed you

  5. Scottie puts it in perspective. This "kid" won his 3rd US Amateur in a row and almost immediately went Pro in August of 96'. Inside of 1 year, he goes to Augusta and wins his first Major he entered as a Professional by 12 shots?

    Legend.

  6. I got to witness Woods win his 5th green jacket in 2019, would be the best comeback story of all time if he plays this week.

  7. Not a big fan of Tiger but without a doubt, I never saw him choke. I think without a doubt arguably the greatest of all time. The same can be said of players before though like Jack, Bobby Jones maybe even someone like Tommy Morrison. He wasn't a role model or someone your kids could look up to but his skill is amazing.
