Pull Power From the Ground | Golf Swing

Today’s video is all about how to use your lower body to pull power from the ground. The goal is to have an active lower body, while still keeping our head relatively still.

There are 3 components to how our lower bodies move:

1) Lateral movement – our hips shift from side to side and transfer weight between our feet.

2) Rotational movement – our hips turn away from the ball in the backswing, and rotate through in the downswing.

3) Vertical movement – our pelvis tilts as the trail side raises up in the backswing, and then again as we push off of our lead leg through impact.

The key to maximizing our power is to put these 3 movements together with good timing.
