Will the distractions and COVID-19 issues sidetrack Djokovic as he looks to add another major title to his resume? The great player comes into this event surrounded by controversy. There is no guarantee he will be able to play though he has been lined up to play fellow Serb Miomir Kecmanovic in the opening round. That match shouldn’t be testing but who knows when it comes to where Djokovic’s focus will be.
Djokovic’s road to the title could see many hurdles, incluring could mean a quarterfinal against No. 7-ranked Matteo Berrettini and possibly a semifinal against Rafael Nadal or third-seeded Alexander Zverev. They all could be contenders on the men’s side.
The women’s draw sees Ashleigh Barty of Australia as the top seed. If you are looking for a long shot with plenty of value, 13th-seed Naomi Osaka has a winning history and if her game is together she will provide a fourth-round test for Barty.
Overall, the men’s draw seems to go through Djokovic if he has his head in the game and the women’s side is wide open with Barty looking to take home the crown in her home country.
