Hey guys….I am back again but this time visiting a 9 hole course in midlothian Va . Independence park “the bear” (not to be confused with Independence Park in Bedford Va.) is a 9 hole course with 3 tee positions shared with ball golf and foot golf.
Spacious well manicured and maintained fairways . Some holes play over gross hellish vegetation with thorns and roughs 2′-4′ tall. One hole plays over a small pond. I have checked off and played most of what richmond Va.has to offer for disc golf but missed this one.
Independence park happened to be on the way to my first concert in 1/1/2 years. The concert took place at Licking Hole Creek brewery in Goochland Va. featuring my favorite Funk band and grammy nominees Lettuce!!!
Sadly Licking hole Creek’s 9 hole disc golf course had not been maintained or mowed for some time making it unplayable. I did walk some of the course & it could really be something with a little tlc.
