30 minute Pilates Stretch and Mobility with a Stick

Today with the help of a long stick or a broom tail 🙂 we’ll perform a 30 minute workout that improves our mobility, stability, and strength. The exercises will combine deep stretching with joint mobilization and strength traning as we keep some poses in a izometric position for longer times.
Come back to this session using the stick on a regular basis as a tool to improve the range of motion, muscle activation and increase body awareness.
Using a stick can hep create a foundation for a flexile body as we integrate stability, coordination and isometrics.

During our sessions with we follow the Pilates Method and the qualities of Mindfulness: attention, intention, awareness, focus, kindness, patience, compassion for the mind and body.
The classes are open to all levels of fitness as we start slowly with breathing exercises and slow pace movements and moving gradually to more complex and compound exercises. We use weights and various props.
We notice the muscles that are working during each exercise paying attention to the connection between mind and body.
During the sessions please listen to your body and only do the exercises that are fit for you. With each workout the muscle strengthen and the body becomes stronger. Gradually as the muscles grow we can increase the number of repetitions and the difficulty but we need to manifest another quality – patience.
