#85 Web TV: How To Get Your Golf Alignment Right

What you are going to discover here is how to get your golf alignment right and how to do it in practice and when practicing on the golf course.

The first place I want you to work on your golf alignment is on the practice range, just so that you get a better understanding of what you need to do.

Once you are comfortable with how to get your golf alignment right in practice then the next step will be to do it on the golf course in practice.

What you need for this exercise…

* A short iron – perhaps an 8 iron, 9 iron or pitching wedge
* Golf balls
* A marker or a bucket
* What you need the marker or bucket for is to use as a visual aid that will assist your golf alignment.

This is how you get set up to practice your golf alignment…

1. Place the marker in front of your golf ball
2. Set your golf club in behind the ball
3. Line the club face up with the marker
4. Have your feet set in line with the direction of the club face
5. Then perform your shot.

By placing a marker in front of your ball you will then receive feedback whether your ball is going where planned., that is: straight!

Once you start to get a feel for this in practice on the practice tee… you then want to repeat the same thing out on the golf course. So when you head out on the golf course you can then place a marker down in front of the ball each time you play your shot.

Obviously you can’t do this during competition… but spend the time to get out on the golf course during non competition time and practice this.

You are aiming for 2 things here;

1. Working on getting your golf alignment right
2. Getting feedback from each of your shots
