John Hughes Golf – 2-Seconds to Consistent Putting

Everyone wants to be more consistent with their golf game. Nowhere else on the golf course is it more important to be consistent than the putting green. Golfers often get anxious on the green, wanting to see their putts roll in the hole. When this happens, the movement of your head will cause your shoulders to open. This in turn causes the putter to “pull” away from your intended target path. Consistent Putting Starts with a consistent method to eliminate your anxiety.

A simple and very effective way to combat your anxiety is counting to “2” immediately after impact, staring at something behind the ball. Doing so creates a more consistent putting stroke and provides you a unique opportunity to “hear” the ball drop in the hole. Hearing the confirmation of a successful putting stroke will cure your anxiety and create a more consistent putting stroke.
