Improving Upper Back Mobility and Posture for Golfers

In this video in the series on Mobility for Golfers with First Tee Greater Washington D.C, Dr. Fontaine reviews drills to improve movement of the upper back and shoulder girdle. Stiffness in the upper back is a common problem that can lead to poor address posture and resulting in neck and lower back injuries in golfers. Stiffness in the upper back as well as hips also result in less torque force production, meaning less driving distance and power.

This video was done as part of a series in partnership between Potomac Physical Medicine and First Tee Greater Washington, D.C. to assist coaches and instructors in improving the mobility of their youth golfers. Better mobility leads to optimal performance and play and injury prevention.
