Hitting: High Tee Drill with Jim Crowley

This is a great drill for players of all ages to learn/reinforce keeping your hands in a good load position, not dropping your shoulders and not letting the barrel get below the ball. The idea is if you can get on top of a ball chest level you will have no problem staying through (Or level) on a pitch in the strike zone. Staying level helps you hit the ball harder and more consistently while also help fighting off tough pitches. We use this drill with all of our Badgers and #canesbaseball players as well as the college and professional players who come in to train.

Notice when Austin swings he keeps his head down, hips and shoulders parallel and finishes his swing by turning his back foot and back hip to the pitcher. Great drill for players of any skill level. Thanks for the awesome demo @awynns12

Jim has been a #tbwmaryland instructor since we opened in 2012. He was the 1987 Gatorade Maryland Player of the Year, a former All American at Clemson University, former Minor League player with the Red Sox and Orioles reaching AAA with both organizations and was the head varsity baseball coach for 7 seasons at Loyola. (Current Orioles catcher Austin Wynns the demo).
