The center of mass and center of gravity on your golf club are two different things but can work together. The center of gravity is on the clubhead and the center of mass is on the shaft.
When you are in your downswing, the center of mass should line up with the club handle and this will cause the center of gravity will square naturally. With a higher speed and the clubhead squaring, the ball will go further and straighter
