The Dalat at 1200 Golf Course is found only a short way from Dalat airport (about 15 minutes drive) through a few mountain valleys with a lake scene. Now and again it is reminiscent of golf courses’ features in Switzerland rather than those in Central Vietnam.
The entire area is a part of a complex of modern accommodation, sports facilities and an awesome golf course. While the first 9 holes have been in play for 10 years, the next nine are just barely presented to golfers & operated only a few years back. Although this amazing two nines course is a design of Peter Rousseau, and Kyi Hua Han, it cannot be denied that legend Grahame Harris contributed great effort during the stunning development of Dalat at 1200.
In 2015, the later completed course made the great success to Korean Ladies PGA (KLPGA) thanks to its facilitating conditions. In particular, with functional bentgrass greens coupled with the cooler mountain climate, the course presented wonderfully.
The initial 4 holes at Dalat 1200 are very well-designed to be dramatic for play. Players can easily encounter impressive and challenging characteristics from the start. In particular, elevated tees, rocky and meandering creeks, white sand bunkers, and tiered greens are born to make the game more complicated. Such design brings golfers a number of better opening sequences when coming to such an adventure in a golf game.
When it comes to the middle of the round, golf players might realize the quiet down a little, then unexpected challenges still awaiting them to face it.
Noteworthy holes when coming to The Dalat at 1200
The par 4 first hole establishes with long downhill from the elevated tee and a creek in front of the green. The hole provides a chance to capture the sight of rice paddies and streams along the front nine.
The second hole is a par 5 long drop down (600 yards) to a fascinating green complex guarded by rocky streams and Mackenzie-like bunkers. Long hitters are required to conquer this challenging hole.

Par 4 fourth is a longer downhill hole contributed by Augusta-like bunkers, Mc Kenzie bunkers, and more water.
After that, the Dalat at 1200 Country Club you take you to old trees overshadow the tee shot, making the par 5 seventh hole very thrilling. With a mix of bunkers, trees, and water placed intentionally, the 7th hole is a greater experience for any golfers. PAR is a good one here.
Hole 8 is also remarkable despite the shortest length (par 3, 186 yards). It plays from an elevated tee playing up to what is basically a green island. This game can be a hardened test for anybody for a little wind, be careful!
Another amazing challenge is hole 15 which plays from the hills with another high tee. This short and practically drivable par 4 will go for a wide plain green but surrounded by steep drop-offs.
Then, a short par 3 is placed in hole 16 with water carry all the way therefore you have no place for error.
The rarified air of hole 17 is the condition of another thrilling par 5 of Dalat at 1200.
In general, the opening and closing 4 holes are well-placed on the slopes of two separate valleys – these holes make your round unforgettable – but during the round, holes like 7 & 8 retain the standard.
After completion of your round of golf, players will find local services with the arrival of facilities. The Dalat 1200 is a magnificent course that makes a remarkable one of the best golf courses in Asia.
In addition, The Dàlat at 1200 Country Club is set up in the central highlands which triggers the cool weather that is worth to be considered when planning to play here. Specifically, the weather condition is easier than in other areas in Vietnam. From November to May at that time lower humidity offers temperatures in the 20’s. Yet rain can be a factor from late May till late October.
