Pre-Round Warm up Session – Part 3 – In the Short Game Area is where we will start to chip and pitch a few golf balls, so we can start to see how the greens will react to the ball as it lands. Will the ball check up or bounce and roll due to the moisture on the grass? This part of the Warm up Session gives us an insight on the way the greens are going to be as we get to the course…

For better golf, and making birdies or saving pars, we need more adaptability, and these few minutes on the short game area will give us just that…

This is the third part of a multi-part Pre-Round warm up session videos. Depending on the time we have, we want to start our round with some stretching exercises, before we start hitting some balls at the driving range and then get to the short game area to chip and pitch, before we end with a few putts before we get started on our round. Assuming we have the time to do so, let’s now continue with hitting some chip shots and pitch shots to get a feel for the green and the reaction or bounces the balls will have when we hit our close shots or must makes…

When performing these 10 minute short game area sessions, be sure to warm up and stretch first and if any of the exercises cause pain or severe discomfort, discontinue immediately.
