2020 U.S. Open: Winged Foot Flyover – Hole No. 16

An aerial view of the 16th hole of the West Course at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y., host site of the 2020 U.S. Open Championship. In collaboration with Deloitte.

This sharp dogleg-left hole requires a tee shot past the corner for a view of the green, with the right side of the fairway providing the best angle of approach. A tall tree guards the left side of the green. Its narrow shape makes for challenging recoveries from the greenside bunkers.

The United States Golf Association (USGA) conducts many of golf’s most prestigious championships, highlighted by the U.S. Open, the U.S. Women’s Open and the world’s premier amateur championships. Based in Liberty Corner, N.J., the USGA governs the game in the U.S., its territories and Mexico.
