Calming The Mind Meditation for Golfers

Calming the mind meditation is a peaceful meditation focused on bringing us into a calm, relaxed state where we can create distance from our thoughts. It provides a place of openness and freedom to help us learn to stay present, stay focused and let go of any emotional pulls or thinking distractions. This state is very beneficial while on the golf course to help keep us focused and mentally balanced during our golf round. It is especially helpful in preparing for competitive golf events, such as a golf tournament or qualifier.

Welcome Friends to our Grip It Girl Wellness Series. This Series is focused on bringing health, wellness and positive energy to you on and off the golf course. We have included a variety of stretches, exercises and meditations to keep your mind and body healthy.

Find a quiet room, free for distractions. in a cross legged position either upright or against a wall. Gift yourself this moment of serenity and stillness. Opening yourself up to receiving universal love and enveloping peace.

Take a deep breathe in and out. Feeling your abdomen rise as your breath in the air of life, and feel the abdomen fall as you let it all out, noticing the calm air enter your nostril and slowly real from your nose or mouth. bring yourself to this present moment. Feel this breath of life support you and Revitalize you. Breathing in peace and courage, breathing out fear and worry.

Come into a rhyme with your breath, like a beautiful fluid golf swing. moving back and through. Feeling your chest rise as you deeply breath in, and fall as you breath in, feel the air calmly enter your nostrils and slowly release from your nose or mouth.
Breathing in courage, peace and love, breathing our fear, doubts and worry.

Imagine your thoughts as clouds. Notice them and let them pass by, without any attachment or connection to them. Continue to create space between your awareness and your thoughts
If the thoughts arise say just thoughts and let them go. Bring yourself back to your breath. Following your breath move in and out, releasing any tension along the way.

Mantra: I am the decider of my destiny. My thoughts do not define me. I am peaceful, happy and free.
